We stayed for a few days in a garden bure. The staff provide the best service I have ever experienced in any of the Fiji resorts. We were welcomed by the staff on arrival with a bu (green coconut). Even though we were late arriving (3pm), we were contacted by telephone and asked if were would like to have a... More

We've just returned from a week at Sau Bay Fiji Retreat and couldn't be happier to have been there. Our main reason for going was the scuba diving, which was phenomenal on rainbow reef- masses and masses of fish of all colors and types, gorgeous, healthy and dense soft and hard coral, and other interesting critters abound. On one dive,... More

Sau Bay's welcoming friendly staff compliment the stunningly beautiful setting to provide an unforgettable experience if you're willing to travel a little more adventurously in Fiji. For our 25th anniversary, my wife and I researched several resorts in Fiji (particularly using TripAdvisor) before concluding Sau Bay looked like a good fit. We snorkeled several days out of the 9 we... More

We were welcomed to this tropical paradise by a warm Fiji smile. My family stayed in the tree-tops overlooking a secluded bay that offered tropical blues and birds. The Sau Bay family offered wonderful food and experiences such as hiking, snorkelling, kayaking and massages at the end of each day. A wonderful oasis just off Taveuni. A once in a... More

Was very fortunate to spend three nights in this little piece of Fiji paradise in August. On my round the world trip it was a real highlight - I recommend you ask for the treetop room which has the most stunning view. Many memorable moments from swimming in the waterfalls of the Blue Lagoon, snorkeling in the reef out front... More

Beautiful location especially, for visitors interested in exploring the Rainbow Reef. Certainly remote, but accessible from both Savusavu & Taveuni (taxi then boat). Comfortable, attractive bures, good food, well run resort. What really distinguishes Sau Bay from other resorts in Fiji is the unobtrusive, highly personal service. There’s always someone available to help get a kayak in the water, watch... More

We are cruising Fiji in our catamaran and recently spent several nights anchored off Sau Bay Retreat on the island of Vanua Levu. Wow!! What a gorgeous gorgeous place - a tranquil boutique retreat only reached by boat with capacity for a maximum of 12 guests. Carol and Nigel, the owners and managers, couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable,... More

We had an incredible time at Sau Bay! It was secluded (only accessible by boat) with all of the amenities we needed. The food was delicious (we are foodies) and the staff was friendly and very accomodating. We spent most our days relaxing in the sun on the private beach drinking coconut rums and SSS (Sun, Sand & Serenity) cocktails... More

I researched a trip to Fiji for years and decided to spend 9 nights at Sau Bay. The goal was to see the soft coral in the Somasoma straight/Rainbow reef and have a place to snorkel at the resort, and this place met and exceeded my expectations. On three days of scuba, my wife and I had the dive boat... More

We chose Sau Bay for 7-day stay largely based on TripAdvisor and Expedia reviews. We can see why people liked it. Being quite small its easy to meet and get to know other guests but still have your own space. The weather wasn't that kind to us but still managed to go out for a picnic and snorkeling trip at...
