French family house in the holy frontier between both cerdagne (catalan and french) English and Spanish speaking. Warm welcome and helpful. Perfect evening stay by the chimeney. Ask for discounts for ski location and Porte-Puymorens forfaits. Will come next season..sure! Merci!!

The hotel is a relatively small and older ** hotel. The hotel is easy to find, being on the main road through town. Parking is across the street from the hotel, in a private outside lot. Our room was up one flight of stairs, on the side of the building, so we didn't hear any road noise. The room was clean, on the small side and very adequate for a one night stay. We transacted all our business in French so don't know how much help there would be in English. We had dinner at the hotel. It consisted of a very generous portion of fois gras followed by magret de canard and beef steak. The wines are local. We had good wifi reception in the room. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This Auberge is more of an Auberge for passers by or skiers/sports. We spent 1 nights and it was ok. It met the basics and it made us feel younger since there were some students next door. Bathroom was tiny, but we managed. We were so tired after skiing that we hit the bed early and slept like logs. It has free parking for the lodgers. Quiet place, with a good dinner service in the evening. My husband and I enjoyed the dinner and the breakfast was also very good for what we paid. Service was nice and helpful. Overall nice experience.

The auberge is located in a hamlet which has lots of character and has not been spoilt by tourists. It is 1.5km from the SNCF station but a phone call to Taxi Coch (0609103079) will bring a taxi with a friendly driver (French only) for only 7Euros. The auberge is a very traditional establishment ,family run, but does not lack in facilities. The young lady who doubles as receptionist/waitressspeaks excelent English & will help to explain the menu. If, like me, you wish to use the auberge as a base they will provide a packed lunch and drink.. I can recommend this establishment without reservation and would use it again if I was in the area.

Arriving at the international station it is a 1.5 Kms walk to the hotel and without many places to shelter should it be raining! The accommodation and public spaces are somewhat tired and dated, but well maintained. My room had a small balcony and nice views over the distant peaks. A curiosity of the village were the chimes of the church clock. They rang often during the day but "switched off" at night! I seemed to be the only guest that day. Having come from glorious sunshine at lunchtime in Ax-les-Thermes it was a bit of a shock to be in the rain and cold. For the evening meal they kindly provided me with a portable fire. The dinner was tasty and carefully prepared. Breakfast is served from 7.30 am so if you have an early train to catch you might need to take the village taxi which charges 8 Euros.
