We stayed overnight at the Georgian townhouse having booked a night out in Newark from a very warm welcome to the cheery goodbye there was nothing would need to fault the room was larger than expected with a well equiped bathroom and a very comfortable bed! The choice at breakfast was lovely with everyone provided for Chris explained everything from... More

There were things we liked about the Georgian Townhouse and things we really didn't. The room and bathroom were very clean. The stairs to the kitchen were very spidery though! The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was lovely. However, we did not like having to choose a breakfast 'slot' on arrival the afternoon before. We were not sure... More

Lovely house, immaculate room with a lovely view. The owner was extremely accommodating and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, probably the best we've had in a B&B, loads of choice for breakfast. Location for the town is excellent, a short walk to the centre. Highly recommended.

We booked way in advance, the communication was good and we were made most welcome on arrival. An immaculate room, perfect breakfasts and a really pleasant host made this the perfect long weekend location. It is a short walk to the town centre and attractions, where there is a good selection of restaurants. Highly recommended.

Another great overnight stay at The Georgian Townhouse, consistently the best in the area, lovely room, great breakfast, clean friendly, delighted with this choice. Apart from being a brilliant place to stay it is very close to a Oscar's pub with the legendary pizzas and provides easy walking access to the historic town centre (bad King John died in The... We stayed here for three nights in December, as part of a pre-Christmas visit to family in the county. Positive reviews on TripAdvisor tipped us off, and the details provided on the B&B's own very helpful website confirmed that this would be our kind of place. We had the ground floor room, which had all the facilities you'd look for,... More

Enjoyed my second overnight stay at this beautiful B&B superbly run. The Georgian Townhouse is very well adapted to its purpose with a variety of comfortable rooms and a delightful walled back garden for visitors to enjoy when the weather permits. Excellent breakfats, plenty of variety cooked to order, simply love it....

Fantastic house and room, really clean, warm, and comfortable. It's a shame it was for only one night. Plenty of parking available. Chris was a wonderful hostess and made me feel like i was staying with family or good friends and not just another paying guest. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, wish I could of taken more... More
