Unique and charming place. We stayed for 2 nights in a nice and Cousy Willa. Barbara and the family running the place was very friendly and made us feel great. The most Fantastic breakfast selection I ever experienced. Dinners were fantastic as well. Our second night they had a gipsy theme with traditional Hungarian sup. We Will absolutely visit this place again.

I chose Nomad thinking it’s in Eger. Turns out I’m wrong, but I’m so happy to have found this place. If you like nature and warm hosts, I cannot recommend this place enough. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room is cosy and comfy. WiFi is generally good. This is a great place to chill. You can enjoy the fresh air from the woods all around, read a book, take a dip in the pool, have a drink by the bar, wander among nature, etc. Having a car would be advantageous, but not having one won’t be too much of an inconvenience if you familiarise yourself with the timings for the local bus. The main bus stop is about 1.1km from the hotel, but during certain times, the bus towards Eger will call at a nearer stop (about 5-7 minutes walk). You can also call for a taxi. The journey to town is about 20 minutes. The cost should be around 5,000 to 5,500 forints. (For the train station, it should cost around 5,500 to 6,000 forints and an additional 5 min) In case there’s two of you travelling, I’ll advise on spending the extra bit and getting the standard room. You probably won’t regret it (I’m sure the smaller room is nice too, but a little more space doesn’t hurt :) The same goes for the breakfast. Yummy and lovingly prepared. As for dinner, I’ll recommend having it at least once. Definitely worth the extra expenses, IMHO. Vegetarians need not worry and you can let the hotel know prior to your visit of your dietary needs. We didn’t get to explore the area as much as we’ll like, but there’s a lovely restaurant about 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel too. I’ll recommend to stay for at least 2 nights. And to set aside some time to enjoy the hotel and the beautiful surroundings (there’s also a camping option for those who prefer).

The hotel is beautiful, rooms are authentic done in retro style. I was in love with my small room! The food is perfect, home-made, it's evident that every meal is prepared with love. The hosts are the best, willing to help with anything. The surrounding nature is simply stunning.

This is the best place to have your wedding, if you want it outside the city. Perfect cuisine, coffee and a heartful staff at a lovely place. Feels like you home, with your relatives. Oh, and for vintage lovers, this place is a must!

The wonderful, friendly welcome that we received on arrival from Barbara - the principal host during our stay - set the tone for the 5 days we were at the Nomad. We were immediately invited to join the special Wednesday night BBQ which was a relaxed affair with an excellent choice of meats & fresh salads to match. We were staying in the Container House just a few mins walk from the main hotel which enjoys a secluded location in the woods. It gave us a level of independence but also easy access to the hotel's facilities, including the pool and bar, but also the spectacular breakfast which we enjoyed every morning. A wonderful, relaxing place to stay with an excellent location and true family-style hospitality.
