Far quieter than Monodendri, the hamlet of Bitsa worked well for me. I would have liked to have stayed longer at this well-run, traditional hotel. Really friendly staff who are great sources of information about this spectacular area which has had such a (to say the least) stormy history. Ideally located down an alley off the main road, there's a fantastic view from the village square. Straightforward menu in the restaurant but I had the best pork chop ever! I definitely want to stay here again.

We were recommended the restaurant in the square of Vitsa and found this gorgeous restaurant. Beautiful views ,lovely family who were the staff and amazing tasty food. So delicious we rolled out of there. Tasos one of the owners told us the history of the area and so much useful information. Ended up spending a few hours there . Would definitely recommend,we were not staying at the hotel but am sure it is as great as the restaurant!

Spent two nights here - the rooms are very basic , spotlessly clean , Maria and her family and staff make you feel very welcome , we ate twice in their taverna and the food and service was great . Parking is also available and accomodation sits opposite town square

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but were impressed by the cozy touch and fantastic location in the middle of Vitsa’s village square and its towering ancient plane tree. Owners and personnel were super friendly and we had an impressive taverna dinner. What will stay in our minds are their great pies, wonderful salad and mostly their lamb ribs. Don’t expect the usual fast service, as the lamb is perfectly grilled on wood, juicy but not fatty and having a unique smokey flavour. All ingredients are home grown or at least local. Absolutely must dine place, when nearby! (@ dog owners: they have no issue whatsoever even having your pup inside!)

This is my second visit to En Chora Vezitsa. During my first visit I stayed in their delegate tower room overlooking the church and valley below. Complete with loft bedroom and fireplace! This was an amazing unique experience and I highly recommend it. During this visit I stayed in #13 which was huge private and quiet and also had a great view over the valley. I was able to watch the sun rise and the clouds roll in! Absolutely Incredible! Maria provides great tips on hidden gems and places to get the best views- invaluable local knowledge! This is the perfect base to explore the Zagori region.
