Beautiful location in wonderful area, but definitely not 5 star hotel. Reception stuff is unkind, rude, arguing when you come with a problem. Very poor room service. Everything is an extra charge, even a small water on arrival or a cup of espresso during your included breakfast. Spa exist only on the website, in reality there is a micro pool, poor offer, micro sauna with broken door (not high enough temperature), run by unprofessional stuff. Pool smells of mold. Our room smelled of cigarettes. Breakfast was very tasty, but not any great selection. Definitely not worth its money. Not relaxing, you need to keep asking for many stuff.
Amazing Hotel -we stayed for 2 nights and we enjoyed it! The service was wonderful, the breakfast was very tasty, the room was clean and warm. For us- is was the perfect place to stay in all Greece! We also eat dinner in the hotel restaurant and did a spa treatment that was both perfect!

The worst experience in this so called 5 star boutique hotel! The staff was incompetent, rude and not helpful. The owner was worst, add also arrogant! I have been in maybe 20 different hotels in Greece, all great actually. This one, incompetent, not worth the money absolutely, sraff terrible because of the owner, arrogant. Never more there, and I wish no one else will face such terrible experience especially with family!
Well, perhaps I'm not fair using the word "they" in the title, since every single member of the hotel stuff, have been extremely polite. The girls in the spa, the technician, the receptionists, everybody: They have been amazing. So, the destruction, was one man's work only: the hotel owner's, himself. And of course, his guidelines-directions, that the hotel is following, should be held responsible also. I will try to be comprehensive, because if I right in detail everything that happened, I will not be over writing until...tomorrow. I had booked an executive suite for me and my wife for our wedding anniversary (3 nights). The room, costing itself 200€ per night, had a problem with heating: no matter what we tried, the temperature would not rise above 21 degress celsius during our first night (anniversary night). Hotel stuff was informed. Wasn't able to fix this also. When we woke up the next morning, and the heating was operating the whole night, the problem remained. I asked if we could switch to another room with no heating problem. Two different hotel employees, had confirmed already that there was a problem with the heating of my initial room. The receptionist agreed to meet my demand and offered us the chance to switch to the junior suite. But, when I asked how much should I pay, she said that we would have to pay THE SAME price, just like if I was staying in the executive suite , for 3 nights. I responded that this is non-sense, and she replied that she notifies us about the decision the hotel owner himself had made. I requested to see him. And request was granted. Comprehensively: I said that 1) It is non-sense to ask us to pay for the junior suite the same price to the executive suite, which is, among others, 22 square metres larger as a room, especially since the problem was at THEIR end. We already have suffered enough with all this of course, and he should consider this also and leave us transfer to junior suite in peace, for God's shake. He replied in an amazingly rude, hostile and careless manner that :there was no problem with my initial room. The heating system is controlled centrally by the hotel. So I can't modify the temperature myself, because, what if I wanted to reach 30 degrees celsius in my room? So the problem is mine and it is my choice to change room. So I have to pay the whole initial booking, which concerns 3 nights in an executive suite. After alI, I chose their hotel to come, the didn't force me to. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS. And I wouldn't believe that this could happen in a 5 star hotel in my country. I said that, if so, then 1) Why this is not refered in your website? That we have to stay "cool" in a winter destination like Zagorohoria and the heating is modified centrally depending on the preferences of the person in the reception? 2) Why then, two different employees of yours confirmed that there is a problem with the room? And why your employees didn't tell me that the heating is controlled centrally, but, instead of that, they came to my room twice, checking for open windows, checking the radiators, and the technician "fixing" the problem "downstairs"? What was all that, then? He said that the employees are not obliged to know everything, after all they are not mechanical engineers. You can imagine that the conversation had already become a fight. I said that we are leaving immediately. He responded that we could leave as far as we paid the full 3 night, executive suite, booking. I answered that I'm willing to pay only 1 night and that we will meet each other in the court, it will not end here. He replied "No, I'm calling the tourist police" and I said "Good, I want to tell them a lot. And I'm calling the police immediately". I had already moved some luggage in my car when the police arrived. The hotel owner was now more resilient. Although I only asked, in police's presense, to pay for the first night and the next 2 nights to pay for a junior suite, the hotel owner, with his initiative, offered us a night in the junior suite for free. That was a gift of 140€. Furthermore, after that we had some added privileges in the sauna and indoor pool. However, we had already lost our anniversary night, the first night in the hotel, trying to get warmer. No possibility at all to walk in the 200€ room in your t-shirt (or less than than). Our nerves were broken. And, now, next morning, instead of leaving early to visit interesting places, we stayed at the hotel until noon, waiting for the police, packing our things to leave, carrying them to our car, checking nearby hotels online and by phone for room availabilities, and fighting angrily (only me, not my wife) with an unbelievable hotel owner. Not exactly the next day of your anniversary that you expect, or wish for. Our trip was ruined at all, since the rest 1 day and a half couldn't get away of what happened. Besides, our new room didn't perform flawlessly with heating initially (the technician had to come again to check)-but we were exhausted anyway (however, afterwards heating in the junior suite was adequate). The hotel is beautiful (altough I didn't achieve to enjoy it-others perhaps will), in a very nice location, with great spa and exceptional cuisine. Spacious rooms. Very good breakfast served in a nice place. Very polite stuff also. But I didn't like the extra fees for fireplace wood (15€ for every new box-providing about 2.5 hours of fire. 1st Box is free), and spa-sauna-indoor pool (1 hour per day free-additional hours payed extra. And Covid-19 can not be held responsible for this extra fee. It could be responsible for having to book an appointment of an hour, but, if no others wanted to use the facilities, why should you pay extra for every next hour? All in all it was my worst hotel experience ever. And most bizzare, also.…
Beautiful scenery in the heart of the mountains. Easy access to the start of the gorge. Food is fantastic and the breakfast included is also great with beautiful views. Spa has everything you need to recover from the hike and has a lovely quiet/relaxing vibe
We made a reservation for 2 nights in this hotel. We were in a tour of Greece and we wanted to visit this region , which so beautiful. The hotel is situated in a small village on the mountain, there is no air conditioning which I suppose is fine for most of the time. There are no description on the net site about the fact that there are lots of steps the the different buildings (had no idea there are a few buildings), so there was no reason to say that I have a problem with steps. Not to say that we had a lot of luggage and there is no help at the hotel , so we arrived and the person at the reception said that they are fully booked and that is my fault that I did not announced them in advance that I want a room without steps. How could I imagine? She tried to ''remove'' us in an other room which was a sort of suite with the bed upstairs!!! Again, I had to explain that I can not go up and down stairs, and she said: sleep on the coach! Really? At the end she removed us in room 101 which was the worst possible, there is a terrace connected to the room but tis in the pass for all the guest of the hotel going outside. So there is no privacy and we had to keep close both the door and the window, with blanks down, otherwise everybody will watch your room from outside. It was a very hot day and impossible to sit inside without air conditioning. Bathroom was less that basic and adjusted for disabled, which I am not! We preferred to eat outside. In the next morning we were refused with a cup of espresso (breakfast was included in price)! We left immediately, the second night we were charged automatically , but in these conditions I preferred to loose the money and we left to Ioannina , the city in the same region , where we found a wonderful hotel ,the next day we visited all we missed in the first day. The attitude of the receptionist woman and the man in the dinning room were the worst in all our trip in Greece...…
It was for us the first time that we visited this region of Greece. The hotel is situated in a very green environment. View on the mountains. Perfect location to visit the area of the Vikos gorge. We had a warm welcome at the hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The executive suite, is a spacious suite with a nice sitting area. At the restaurant, the food was delicious and also the wines. Due to covid-19, al the necessary measures were taken by the hotel. Disinfection gels were placed in all the different places and also instruction signs. Everything is very clean. We really don't have any remarks. A highly recommended hotel.
The hotel is really great and the staff excellent. We've stayed in a junior suite which was quite spacious, with great mountain view and absolutely clean. The restaurant had limited options but everything was really nice. Nearby there is a very famous restaurant but the hotel's restaurant was far better in every aspect. There is no A/C in the rooms due to architectural restrictions (external units are banned) but you don't really need it. The spa is a bit limited in space but very clean. Keep in mind that if you plan to go after serious outdoor activities (rafting, canyoning, etc.), the hotel is located on the south side of the mountain while most activities are on the north side (about 45min drive).
Since the very first moment we opened the main door, we knew we had entered somewhere special. The first sense we felt was the fresh mountain herbs aroma, wood, thyme and lavender. Then, the decoration. The place itself is a typical old Greek stone building, and a really beautiful modern art collection -sculptures and paintings- fills the space, creating a charming atmosphere full of details. Even though the staff was wearing compulsory masks (COVID security), we could feel their warm smiles all the time. They were great professionals, really welcoming, kind, and helpful. We had a la carte dinner (a 'must' if you visit this place), and buffet breakfast at the restaurant balcony, overlooking the amazing surroundings where only a few birds and some cowbells were heard all around. Our room was a duplex suite where we couldn't ask for more comfort and amenities: warm modern&rustic furniture, super comfortable beds, a great shower, Apivita toiletries, and many more details that wouldn't fit in this review. I highly recommend Kores Boutique Hotel & Spa and look forward to returning to this beautiful place!…
