Our second year here and just as good as the first time. Very nice first floor apartment with 2 balconies and excellent views.
The first weekend there was a Medicane with hurricane force winds and rain so we were stuck inside for 36 hours, so we were very grateful for the wine, cheese, ham, bread and toastie maker that was provided !
Vivian and her daughters were very helpful and jind again and kept the place spotless, Vivian even wielding a chain saw to clear up the fallen trees after the storm. Impressive !
We hope to visit again next year. Thanks !

Best apartment we've stayed at for a long time, theirs a 50m path that leads onto the beach, walked down most mornings left coffee brewing on the balcony, had a swim whist no one bar turtles on the beach, walked back the long way past the local patisserie picking up fresh pain au chocolate to have with coffee. PS if you need any info about the island get up early and speak with the gardener (owner) gave us great tips on which vineyards to go to wine tasting, what local cheeses to buy and were. If you don't mind a walk of an evening walk up the hill approx. 1m to a the old town were you'll find a little artisan pub run by an old English lecturer who moved to the island 35plus years ago, bar full of local character's.

I have been at vivian s apartments with my family this summer.
The place is very nice and confortable. You are very near a nice beach with nice restaurants and bars.
It is also a convenient location to explore the island.
Vivian, her sister and her mother are wonderful hosts.
Highly recomended!

If you value the above this is the place for you.The proof is in the number of people who come back year after year, ourselves included - we have stayed here every year since 1998 & love meeting up again with people we have met here in previous years.I have no photos but you will find a number of them and lots of details at www.apartmentsvivian.gr The apartments are run by the really hard-working owner Dimitra & her 2 delightful daughters,Vivian & Elena.Like most Kefalonians, they are so friendly and eager to please you;nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are kept immaculately clean, as is the small pool and beautiful garden. There is also a bar with lunch-time snacks & this closes by about 5:30p.m.to preserve the evening peacefulness. But there are several tavernas not too far away, the nearest,a very good fish restaurant, only 200 yards away. The beach is also just 200 yards away.We heartily recommend a stay at the Vivian.

We have recently returned for our 5th visit for 16 days in these wonderful apartments and we would like to share our bit of'' paradise''. The 14 appartments and studios are set in beautifull gardens with magnificent views from our balconies looking out to Zante. To wake up in the morning and open the glass doors and hear the waves on the beach, watch the little fishing boats in the bay and enjoying the swifts putting on a show over the pool is just heaven.
Dimitra the owner and her 2 daughters Vivian and Elena are so friendly and welcoming and show you Greek hospitality at its best. Nothing is to much trouble for them to make sure your stay is comfortable and truly memorable.
The apartments are lovely and clean and comfortable and breakfast is provided which you can enjoy anytime sitting out on your balcony admiring the scenery . The pool and surrounding area is delightful and the pool bar is open for drinks and light snacks. There is also a barbeque for the guests to use.
The beaches are only a very short walk (200m) through lemon and olive trees and we never tire of the refreshing aroma of fresh lemons as we head for the beach and dream of our G&T on our return!!
The tavernas and restaurants are all along Lourdas beach front which is very close. Litheros fish restaurant is our favourite but we also enjoy the Klematis and several of the other excellent tavernas.
There are lots of great walks and we hired a car for the first 2 years we were here which is essential to explore this amazing Island. You can also hire a boat for the day for 30 euros which is a great way to see the and visit the numerous little coves for picnics and swimming.
So if you enjoy a peaceful holiday in fabulous surroundings and great views and meeting friends from previous years then we can highly recommend Vivian Apartments--yes to us it is ''paradise''!

Beautiful scenery, sound of the waves at night, birds chirping, and the smell of lemons. always have same apartment with sea views to front and view of mountain to the side. We are constant visitors to Vivian Apartments and feel part of their family, and a wonderful welcome from Dimitria,Vivian and Eleni when we arrive twice yearly.Rooms are spotlessly clean and have all our needs. the help we have received has been overwhelming and very considerate of any requirements we may have.Meeting the same visitors yearly, enhances the experience.
Beautiful pool setting ,and virtually on the beach which is less than 5 mins walk. Beautiful gardens with an array of colours. Taverna serving fresh fish 5 mins walk away. Will not be going anywhere else, have already booked for September, and June is booked for us yearly. Always feel refreshed on return. Dimitria and her family cannot do enough to help, and are constantly available to us to help. One word to describe the experience is "Idyllic" ( P and C Thomas Wales)

Beautiful friendly apartments.
Dimitria and her lovely daughter Elena are so friendly and welcoming.
They will do anything to ensure your visit is pleasurable.
Only 12 apartments so it’s very friendly round the pool if you’re having a coffee/beer/lunch everybody chats.
Beautiful setting near the beach 1 min walk and near a few tavernas.
Will certainly be visiting again and would highly recommend
Thank you Elena & Dimitria for a fantastic stay

If you want a warm welcome, if you want to wake up to magnificent sea views, if you want the option if a traditional home cooked Greek breakfast then Vivian’s is for you.
The apartments are family owned and kept spotless. The pool are is wonderful and a great alternative to the beach. However we can go from our apartment and be on the beach in less than 2 minutes.
Lourdata is 5 minutes walk, with great tavernas. Everything about Vivian’s is superb. Each year we spend a week travelling in Greece and the final week at Vivian’s. It is the best way to finish our holiday and no other accommodation comes close to this little gem.

This is our second visit to Vivian Apartments, we rebooked before leaving last year having had an exceptional holiday.

Hidden away with it's own short track to unspoilt beaches, this is an absolute jewel. Dimitria is the perfect host and her daughter, Elena, provide an absolute haven to escape from the hassles of a busy life. The rooms are clean, all with enough catering facilities to prepare meals, sun terraces, air conditioning and WiFi.
Most rooms are for couples with a few for families. The pool is sparkling clean with an intimate bar that serves iced beers in chilled glasses, snacks and a very good Greek breakfast if you require.

We hire a car from Pefanis at Argostoli airport (no hassle, no waivers, no extras, leave it with the same fuel it had, best hire ever!) and have visited the caves at Melissani near Sami on both holidays. Fantastic short boat trip underground through crystal clear water lit by a natural sky light. Local ingredients from Aldi are like nothing in the UK, tomatoes, peppers, cheese, bread, olive oil, garlic, wine and Mythos beer. That's your shopping list sorted.
Next door is Lithero, a family restaurant that serves the freshest fish and typical Greek dishes with tables overlooking the sea. We arrived at the apartment at 10pm on Sunday, dumped our bags and walked 150m to Lithero to share a Moussaka with Greek Salad and a couple of Mythos beers, welcomed like friends. Not a UK experience.

On Thursday night we used the on-site BBQ to cook for some friends with fresh kebabs, koftas and lamb chops from the local butcher at Peratata. €15 for more than we needed, grilled with fresh thyme, rosemary and limes picked from Dimitria's garden. Heaven.

If you want an all inclusive holiday where you are managed and pampered within an inch of your life with immaculate staff waiting on you hand foot and elbow then this is not for you. If you are a grown up who enjoys natural beauty and simplicity then Vivian's Apartments tick many, many boxes.
We will return and there were people here this year who come back each year. It's that kind of place.

I can also recommend upstairs at Bar 7, a short walk and Kastro Cafe at Castle Agios Georgis where the dips with fresh pitta and the vine leaves were perfect.

If I take away one memory from Kefalonia it is that the people are so gracious, so lovely and a part of the paradise that we were introduced to last year. In my world this is the 5* experience that eludes so many who think that paying more will find them the 'perfect' holiday.

Final note, you won't need half the clothes that you pack, it's shorts and sandals all the way.
