The "castle house" that houses the 4 star Rodia Boutique Hotel was built in the 1830. In order to function as a hotel, it was restored with absolute consistency to its original architecture and its structural peculiarities, and its interior was renovated and engraved with simplicity and discreet luxury, resting, cheering and inspiring.

Rodia Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem in the little hamlet of Kipoi - near Vikos Gorge.
I can't rave enough. The eight room Inn is great for a getaway. We used it as a base to explore the Vikos Gorge area. The manager (George) is local and knows the area very well. He gave us great recommendations for our (too short) 2 day stay. The inn itself has beautiful rooms, super comfortable beds and one of the best breakfasts we've had in our recent travels. I will warn you - the inn is "up" the hill from the main road but is definitely worth the extra effort.

The location was perfect, beautiful characteristic hotel in the hills with great views. George was very friendly and a great host. Cosy room and breakfast was really good with a great selection. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed before going hiking in the area. Personal and friendly treatment from the owner, nice rooms (though not spacious) great breakfast.
Downsides is that the parking is not close so you must schlep your stuff. And the town streets in this part are very steep, plus stairs at the hotel, so you must be quite fit. The view is worth it.

Disappointing.
Unfortunately, the photos from the hotel website as well as from booking etc. are misleading.
You have to climb 200m uphill on bad road conditions with no access from a car. People with even the smallest walking issue are impossible to climb, we are not even talking about strollers. Which is technically not mentioned anywhere
Room very small without the mini bar he mentions to put some water and some snacks we had with us
when we asked for it they brought it to us and it was very loud at night..
Only one window facing a wall! and very dark even in the morning...as for the outside space and the non-existent roof garden.....the photos I quote speak for themselves.

We had booked a room with fireplace and we checked in around 16.00 local. The owners gave us infos about the surroundings and the accommodation, one of those was that we cannot use the fireplace due to danger of fire cause the hotel’s roof was made by wood and our room had no view at all (the window was looking on a wall). We were already disappointed but we travelled many hours to visit Zagorohoria and we had no choice by that moment. We took a walk on the next villages and when we got back at the hotel around 21.00 local, the room was cold. We requested instructions on how we can switch on the room’s heater but the owner informed us that the hotel has central heating and they will switch it on in a while (Please note that the outside temperature was -2°C). As we were waiting the heating system to start in the room, I decided to take a hot shower at least. Unfortunately neither the boiler had hot water at all! I called at the reception and the owner asked me to wait a few moments and the hot water will be ready when the central heating is fully activated. After waiting 2.30 hours absolutely cold in that room, trying to keep warm by wearing sweaters and covering by duvet, we went downstairs where we found a few of the other guests complaining about the situation. The owner apologized that they had a damage on the heating systems due to weather conditions, the pipe was Frozen. (By the way if the heating was in continuing use during the day, the pipe would be ok, as the technician mentioned).
The heating and hot water was available around 00.30 local. We had a terrible night cause I caught a cold with all the above freezing situation, so we decided to leave the hotel early in the morning. After having breakfast (basic supplied), where the fireplace was on (I wondered their fireplace was unable to cause fire on the wood roof?!), we informed the owner about our decision to check out and he said that it wasn’t their fault and they fixed it sooner than I could fix it if that happened at my home. Moreover he asked to check out immediately cause the hotel was fully booked and he is gonna need the room ASAP for other guests.
What a pity for a renewed Clean hotel having genial owners but giving cheap benefits to their guests, especially when they were already forced to pay about the accommodation before their check in.

I booked this hotel after reading reviews. All traveler's should pay attention to few important fasts:
You need to climb 200m to the hotel in a high sloop road. The car can reach only halfway. it was very hard to climb especially in the heat
Only few rooms have air conditioning . I booked two rooms and I didn’t notice that one room was without air conditioning
The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast
Kipio is a small and quiet village. The main attraction is the old arch bridges . But it’s a good place to stay and travel in zagori

Had a great stay at this hotel, and in Zagorahoria in general. Reception goes over and above to help book activities, and they even helped me get my bike back to town! Comfortable room located right in town.
