Hôtel Salary Bay
About

The big highlight: Fred and his nautical club, a (almost) local passionate about the sea and its environment, who will make you dive (tanks and/or snorkeling) on natural sites full of fish and corals as well as on historic sites with 18th century wrecks, fishing for amateurs, whale watching depending on the period, and even taking you for a guided walk in the forest behind the dunes...
In short, a thousand thanks for these three magnificent days, in this idyllic place…

The hotel is authentic. To escape from the world it's ideal
Thank you to the Salary bay team

Warm and caring welcome from its owner, Michèle Cotsoyannis.
Many activities on site: swimming in the magnificent lagoon, diving with Fred Lucas, the discoverer of wrecks and underwater caves, quad biking, meeting whales, bushes and baobabs, etc.

The Diving center is recommended!
We will definitely go back 😊
I also took boat trip with the french local captain. The result was a king fish on 35 kg + diving on A lovely reef, far out in the ocean. Parts of the fish was delicious prepared in the kitchen, and I can still taste the vanilla sauce.
the rooms are great bungalows all with seaview which offers a great sunset.
It's hard to access which makes it a great retreat off the beaten tracks and very quiet and relaxing. The rooms have one open side which give a smooth brees at night and definatly adds to the charm of the place
At night guards protect the area although we've never felt unsafe anywhere in the country.
The coral unfortunatly had it's best time due to fishing and the local people resting their boat on the coral but it's still a nice half day trip for those who never snorkelled before. for experienced people there must be better places then next to the hotel. Then again the crystal clear sea and white sandy beach definatly made up for that and it's lovely just to spend a few days at the nearly deserted beach!
The best stay of our 3.5 week trip through madagascar where we had almost every night a new hotel. thumbs up
"every bungalow is standing alone and facing sea side. the higher bungalows offer the best seaview"Read full review
