I chose to stay at Faros from mid-to end September so I don't have an idea of what the hotel is like during the regular tourist season, but I more-or-less had the place to myself and loved it. The hotel is built like a small Greek village with staircases, passageways and lanes where you can park your car close to... More

Faros Resort is a family business run by Sofia and Nick, who are a couple doing practically the best they can. Its situated on a hillside with a fantastic view towards the sea. Its very close to a small village named Azolimnos which has a large variety of restaurants with all types of food including Greek cuisine, Gourmet cuisine, fish... More

This family run resort has the most lovely atmosphere. Sofia at the reception is so helpful and drove us to and from nearby restaurants and beaches as part of the hotel shuttle service :-). The pool area is brilliant. Completely peaceful and very clean water. Beautiful views from the hotel's hill position. Our large 2 bed family room was the... More

As I am drinking my coffee at the balcony and watching the Aegean Sea, I am thinking I couldn't have done a better choice other than the Faros resort! Based on the top of a hill, you always feel a light wind, even the hottest days. The place is very peaceful and swimming in the pool is very relaxing. The... More

The hotel was amazing and great for a relaxing holiday. Our room had a veranda facing the sea and and swimming pool which was perfect for sitting outside at night and watching the stars! Breakfast was included and had several typical Greek delicacies.

In contradiction to the island that is realy amazing...the hotel was a disaster!!! The room had view tothe sea but it was really small...and old...with many "pets" in it!!! The bathroom was not appropriate for a hotel but for rooms too rent !!! The breakfast was one of the most terrible one that I had ever taste .....the private beach... More

I spent 4 days in that very comfortable hotel. I enjoyed the beautiful view over the Aegean Sea. For breakfast I had to choose from a variety of home made food characteristic of tranditional greek récipes.

We had a lovely time in this typically Greek, family run hotel. The photos are a bit misleading, They make it look glitzy and 'international' but it is much nicer than that. Syros is how Mykanos was before it became so international, crowded and expensive and we appreciated this. This is the Greek island that Greek people holiday on, and... More

It's not that it's a bad hotel, but looking back I cannot think of anything that stands out. Everything is average or below, and given the price we payed, it simply does not worth it! The location is good and the views are nice but that's it. The room and especially the bathroom need refurbishment, the service is slow and... More

Hotel of the 70's with bad service. The rooms are nothing like the pictures shown about the hotel. The shower area was tiny, the shower door would not close because it was rasty. Employees were painting the children's pool and the whole area was smeling paint. Dissatisfied employees as well as clients.
