What a find, as in accommodation, resort and island! We stayed at Anemes for nearly two weeks and were really well looked after by Paschalis and Mema, together with Matilda and Kim. This is an excellent accommodation in a great location, what a pleasure to wake up in the morning to lovely blue skies and views.
Our room was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable, with kitchen facilities to knock up a quick snack if you require. It is the first place we have stayed where your room is serviced every day. The air con is a great relief at night to make the sleeping easier.
As reported the breakfasts are something else and it takes a couple of days to get your head around the great choice that is offered to you. Always prepared freshly for your choice. Breakfasts are an interesting time to join the jovial discussion of the other guests, together with Paschalis and Mema.
Anemes was an excellent choice, providing a thoroughly relaxing vacation and a place we will return to, both for the hospitality of Paschalis, Mema, Matilda and Kim and the lovely unspoilt island of Kythera.

Anemes is a small lovely hotel in Avlemonas. It has cozy apartments of different sizes and decoration but always nice. The owners Paschalis and Mema together with the always smiling Matilda will make your stay unforgettable. The breakfast is always a great way to start the day: it's done express according to your desires and it's far away from the usual buffets of industrial food. There is only one pitfall: when you come you'll never wish to leave😍

We returned to Anemes following our excellent vacation back in 2022. We were not disappointed, the place had not changed or deteriorated over the two years. The property and the rooms were still in immaculate condition and the rooms were spotless and well maintained, thanks to the great efforts of Matilda and Kate. These two ladies are exceptional and don’t stop from breakfast to room service, they really keep the place ticking over and top of the tree.
The breakfast, again, was an enjoyable experience with the eggs, yoghurt, cheese pie and don’t forget the Galaktoboureko!!
The views, peace and tranquillity have made Anemes our "happy place" and a place we really enjoy coming to. We will be back in the future!

Super comfortable room with beautiful view from the balcony. Beautiful and unique bathroom. Perfect breakfast. Very friendly hostess and host! Avlemonas offers various swimming options, good restaurants and a nice bar at the harbor. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kythira!

We had found the hotel through the photos of tripadvisor and booking.com, so we sent a deposit of 80 euros for a double room with sea view. All rooms in the photos have balcony or yard and the bathrooms and rooms are completely refurnished. Instead they gave us a room at the back of the building a room old and mainly a shaby and old bathroom without balcony or yard. The room had no view to nowhere.They suggested that the view was a terrace you should walk out of the room and walk up the stairs. They give the new rooms to customers from booking.com so as they can gain the higher score. Totally unprofessional, a very irritating experience as they took advantage of the deposit and of the fact we could not find a proper room in a high season period.

We stayed at Anemes only for 1 night unfortunately.
We had booked a luxury studio. The appartments are less than 5 min walk to centre of avlemonas and the little port and 15-20 min walk to palaiopoli beach or 1 min drive!
The hosts are amazing and very friendly. You can ask them anything you want and they are happy to help you. The breakfast was included in the price and was fabulous!
The studio itself was one of the best places we have ever stayed, had its own little porch where you can see the stars at night. The kitchenette worked great.

The hotel is very well kept, it is clean and furnished with taste. Owners are very professional and also very nice. When we were in need of something (for example in renting a car which was not so easy in this period) they have been very helpful. Breakfast is good and there is a lot of things!
The location is really beautiful and the sea just in front of the hotel is gorgeous.
I definitely would recommend it and I hope I'll come back!

Nice apartment hotel with uninterrupted view over the sea, large rooms and very friendly staff. It is not directly located at the sea but only separated by a road (not busy) and vegetation. The large 'Paleopoli' beach is 10-15 walk or 1 minute drive away and shops/restaurants of Avlemonas are less than 5 min walk from the apartment. Kitchenette, fridge (minibar) and hairdryer in the room. We stayed here for 1 week and can recommend this beautiful apartment hotel to anyone. Breakfast in the room is available for 4€ per person.

Nice clean rooms, providing all necessities. Breakfast was very good.
The island of Kythera is an ideal place for short vacations. Many places to visit. Beautiful beaches and restaurants are there to discover. The capital is welcoming and the museum of Kythera is very interesting. The island is near Peloponese and you can get there from the port of Neapolis Lakonia or fly from Athens directly to the island.
