We stayed here for a week in the middle of 6 months of traveling to relax! The staff are super helpful, cottages are very pretty and clean! Pool is beautiful and the whole place just calm and relaxing! The snorkel trip organised was incredible also! The hotel is near to lovely beach and other restaurants and a place you can spiff jump.. overall amazing place and would Definitely recommend and would absolutely go back there if in Bali again!
I really enjoyed my stay here. Management and staff were all accommodating to my whims and sudden schedule changes. Nothing seemed impossible for them to arrange. Seems odd to say given the weather but consistent hot water was a win. The bungalows are situated so it doesn’t seem like you’re on top on the next person. No ocean views, but honestly except for one specific bungalow on a close by property did you have this (in this price range) Great value for money.
I love this hotel, the bungalows, the family atmosphere with Santana and his family! They do everything to make your stay peacefull and relaxing. Whatever you want - you can get it! And the food is also excellent!
My stay at Dafish was amazing! I stayed in the Standard room with my friend. The room has high ceilings, which makes it feel quite spacious, even though the huge, comfy bed takes up most of the room floor. They have the essentials: mosquito net, air conditioning, a fan, towel. And other things like a tv that we didn't use. The bathroom is outdoors, very nice!! Everything was clean, the service was fantastic. The staff are very attentive. The pool is very nice with lush greenery everywhere, and a treehouse that you can see the ocean from. Loved my stay at Dafish. Would recommend!!
We booked our trip well in advance and we were on a bit of a budget, but we got so much more and ended up having an amazing trip. Da Fish had it all. They organised our taxi from the airport, our ferry across, our taxi to yellow bridge and our taxi to the hotel. The had scooters we could rent and they even have a boat that does all the fishing and scuba trips including Crystal Bay and the manta dive. All of these were cheaper than on the main strip where the majority of tourists hang out. All of the people who work here are connected trough family or friends and were born and raised on the Island. They knew everything and could help us no matter what we asked. For the price we paid we had really nice accommodation. There was air-conditioning, a decent shower, nice bed, fresh water delivered every evening, and decent electrical plugs. There are nicer rooms with your own porch and they are building more accommodation so definitely keep an eye out for this place. I suggest trying to stay with them asap because they will become very popular in the future as they grow. They have a pool with a poolside bar, they do make breakfast and will make you food pretty much any time of the day if you asked them. They do sell beer and one or two spirits as well as bottles of water. One BIG plus for me is that they had normal coffee because I did not develop a taste for the Bali coffee. We did not eat that much at the hotel as we were out most of every day so I can not advise on food, except I did have a local dish one afternoon and it was on par with what I had on the rest of the island just with a bigger helping. They have a shop across the road and a place to fuel up. If you do get stuck with out fuel, Mr Dana comes to your rescue with some emergency fuel. In the morning just before the sun came up, I had a leisure stroll down to the local surf spot to dip my toes, it was the best time of day where you could watch the village wake up with all the smells and sounds of Indo, not a single car or scooter in site. We had the best insider information for surf spots and surf conditions, local places to visit, best places to buy drinks and curios as well as best places to fish or just chill on the beach. There are a few gems if you are up for a bit of exploring. We left early because we had an invite to another experience and were so happy that they could sort out all our arrangements. It was last second and they helped us every step of the way to the doorstep of our next adventure in Ubad. They literary waited with us for our taxi and ferry, helped organise our bags and even helped getting our rentals back to their homes. We used them for our snorkelling trip. Again we were picked up outside our rooms, taken to the boat and did the whole trip back to the hotel with out hassle and with them organising everything for us. The captain helped us navigate a mass of crazed tourists to get a glimpse of the manta-ray and got us all the best spots for the snorkelling. He also had hes own GoPro we could borrow after mine decided to bow out. Everything is close to them, including a good surf spot, cliff jump and a few bars and restaurants. It is far enough from the crowds so you can walk down the road at night or early morning and really feel the village come alive around you with out all the craziness of a hundred rude tourists around. I would like to say please be patient, everyone speaks a fair amount of English but many tourist get upset if there was a bit of a communication breakdown. Explain what you want and try to illustrate it if you are on a phone or via email. They are very humble and outgoing people, so if you are friendly and patient you will be rewarded for it. This is not a luxury Hilton lodge, there are bugs in the trees and the birds will chirp in the morning(if you get my drift). For the very cheap price we paid it was a castle. The people of Da Fish will go above and beyond to make their home yours, if you want to have a truly authentic Bali experience, including a few comforts, go visit them. they have everything you will need and if they don't, they will normally organise it. Thank you everyone for a unforgettable experience and sorry for drinking all your coffee:)…
This was an amazing place to stay for our family. My children loved it so much we extended our stay. Run by a wonderfully kind, warm-hearted family who will do all they can to ensure guests are happy.
Wow what a beautiful place! We loved staying at Dafish. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We booked the 2 bedroom cottage and we were so impressed with the rooms. They were spacious and beautiful. Each night we watched the beautiful sunsets on the top balcony with a beer or two! The pool is so clean and refreshing, a perfect place to relax after a morning exploring the Nusa islands. We booked the snorkelling trip with the hotel and swam with manta rays and a turtle, it was incredible! We also rented scooters from the hotel and explored the Nusa islands. Would definitely return here.
Booked 2 DELUXE COTTAGES in March 2019 for stay in July for 5 nights. On arrival we were taken to there standard rooms which had only a bed, shower and toilet. NO room to put bag - had to stay outside on veranda as room so small. Two people couldn’t pass anywhere. It was only by chance when looking through the property we saw the cottages and I had copy of booking saying cottage, fridge, air conditioning, etc. They had clearly put us in cheapest rooms and hoped we wouldn’t find out. On questioning they admitted they had booked rooms twice and even though other rooms vacant they only allowed us one and said other couple would have to stay in basic room for 3 nights then move. They offered a dinner to compensate - a joke. Caused a lot of tension between the two couples as we took the cottage (for health reasons). They stayed one night in standard room but charged for deluxe cottage and moved next day. Took four days of fighting to finally get refund for 4 nights.…
Booked deluxe (superior room) but we’re put in standard room so small that we had to leave suitcase outside on tiny deck. When we queried the room situation, it seemed they didn’t have a superior room for us so we stayed one night and moved to the hotel next door. Hassle to get a refund from Dafish and spoilt holiday.
We loved staying here, the staff at Dafish will go out of their way to make your trip memorable! They were super helpful in organizing transport to and from the island and helping us when our plans changed. Everyone we met and spoke to was very kind and helpful
