Our absolute favourite place for a spoil yourself lunch. Stunning location and gardens. Majestic entrance and drive. And then the food…. It’s outstanding. Our fourth visit was a delight. Beautiful outside dining area and a really interesting menu. We chose the lamb shoulder - it was simply perfect. And the gazpacho to start was out of this world. Secret is the cumin apparently! Go there. It’s great.
The entrance says it all: you are arriving at a country palace. The setting is very unique: a beautifully restored castle in the valley surrounded by picturesque mountains. 10-15 minutes from beautiful beaches with white sand, 25 minutes to Palma, 35 minutes to the airport. The grounds are immaculate and perfectly maintained. Place feels like a boutique vineyard hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern with very comfy beds and excellent rainfall showers. The pool, while not heated, is stunning and large. Booked through Amex FHR, received the early check-in and food/beverage credit, although no upgrade. Great value all in with regards to price. The staff is very polished, friendly, and attentive. Whatever you need, they handle without delay. We came without too many plans and the front desk was able to give us many different options for restaurants, beaches, or places to see with pros/cons for each. Also, when we had a slight leak in our bathroom sink faucet (which ruined a toiletry or two), we alerted the front desk and they sent someone over to fix it right away (and it was fixed). First class service all around. The food is incredible at the hotel. The breakfast is a nice spread. Olivera for lunch or dinner offers a wide menu (the Moroccan Lamb tagine was unreal). Sa Clastra is worthy of its michelin star. The wine list is very large and diverse. A must stay in Mallorca!…
We booked our trip through American Express and was horrified by the awful experience we had. First there is no heat controlled by the rooms for a few more weeks So we froze in our pool suite for a night and had to move. Hotel explained that units built after 2019 had controllable heat but not those before 2019. We could go into a smaller casita or in the main hotel into a much smaller room. So we went into the smaller room thinking the rate would certainly be less given the major downgrade. No such luck. We left and will never return to this over priced, falsely advertised hell hole. Dont eat the awful chocolates that they leave on your bed or you will be charged 9 euros even after you spit them out as they taste like garbage. Piles of charges that we didnt recognize for incidentals. Any hotel that has to scam customers this way should not have any affiliation with AMEX.…
We could only get one night here that fitted our schedule as the whole hotel was booked at the weekend for a wedding. So glad we went as we will 100% return. Stunning gardens, gorgeous buildings, perfect swimming pool, amazing food, lovely room. What more can you ask for?
This hotel is wonderful! We stayed for a few days while on the island and had a truly lovely time. It is quiet, relaxing and lovely. This is a place to get away from the busy, every day routine. Although there were other people here while we were staying it almost felt as though it was my own chateau... The staff is superb.
It’s the third week in 3 years that we spend at Castell Son Claret. The building and grounds are lovely: the rooms are tastefully and comfortably appointed, the pool is great, the finca is beautiful and fragrant. You eat very well, both at Olivera and Sa Clastra, and you drink wonderfully thanks to sommelier Sebastian and bar tenders Francesco and Roberto. I trust the hotel makes the most of the closing period to send them abroad to buy wine and learn new cocktails! The killer app of this place is the team, since anybody can buy a beautiful building and open a hotel. Everybody is kind and proactively helpful. The cleaning staff smile, the Olivera team (Eduardo, Marga, Rebecca, Juan Carlos… shame I’m forgetting a few names), are all adorable. It’s one of our happy places in the world and we intend to spend one week a year there.…
Having stayed at this hotel 4 years ago we thought it would be nice to return as we had enjoyed it so much .The return visit certainly did not disappoint (as some do!). We were upgraded to a beautiful suite as the hotel was not full. The staff are all extremely well trained under the careful eye of the amazing general manager Bjorn Spaude who's presence is felt in a very relaxed way. The breakfast is the best we have had in Europe with the courtyard setting it is absolutely delightful. The pool area is lovely, everywhere is spotless and there is an abundance of towels. We would definitely recommend a short stay at this hotel if you want to unwind and feel very well looked after! Lisap
Since 2015 we have stayed at Castell Son Claret, sometimes with more than one visit in the year. We love this hotel. Its position is spectacular; an impressive crenelated finca in a rural setting against a mountainous backdrop. Immediately next to the hotel grounds is the Unesco World Heritage site of Finca Galatzó, offering numerous walks either on the flat or up mountainous tracks for the more adventurous; an exquisitely beautiful and peaceful place. And for those looking for other activities there is a 20m pool, tennis court, gym and spa etc. Whenever we return to Castell Son Claret we are made wonderfully welcome; in fact for our whole stay we are made to feel like we are the most important people there. The staff are incredibly polite and considerate to your needs. Staff turnover is very low and so it’s a pleasure to see so many familiar faces time after time. The hotel works to and achieves very high standards in the service it offers and this is matched by the level of the food. Their breakfasts are simply the best from their freshly prepared fruits and juices to their cooked options and homemade pastries and breads. All the reception rooms and bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary simple but stylish manner. Above all, what first attracted us to this hotel were its exceptional gardens. They are a complete joy. We particularly look forward to taking our first drink of the evening down into the main garden and choosing a secluded spot to sit in this magical setting.…
Fantastic stay. Beautiful property and the service is outstanding. We had a whole week planned with some of the best read that t bookings, however when we arrived at the hotel and saw the facilities and the service we had dinner most of the time at the hotel. There is a beautiful spa, the rooms are modern and cleaning is outstanding. There are lovely walk ways and the area surrounding the hotel is beautiful so you can do walks and go for runs. The bikes are well maintained so you can do whatever you prefer. Location is wonderful and 20 mins away from the beaches and from the airport. The restaurants, food and service is the best about this property. Love the young different nationalities and the experienced managers in all the outlets. It is refreshing to hear that the management great the team extremely well and that they love their jobs. We have already booked for October again!…
We stayed there for 6 nights and would have loved to stay longer. The place is so relaxing, has a wonderful atmosphere and most welcoming, professional and friendly staff. We really felt appreciated and welcome, which is not necessarely the case in other 5* Hotels - this hotel indeed lives up the 5* on each level. We can highly recommend and surely will be back next year.
