We had an amazing time at Cape Eleuthera Resort. From the moment we arrived we all felt relaxed. Not an overcrowded spot but a perfect hidden gem. We had a beautiful, well appointed 2 bedroom villa with a fully equipped kitchen. The view over the marina and out to sea was perfect for your morning coffee. If you crave nightlife, this is not for you, but if you wish to sit on gorgeous beaches, have most, if not all of it, to yourself, this is the place. We fished and the restaurant cooked our catch! We snorkeled in crystal clear water and for divers, there are many spots a very short boat ride away. For adventure lovers, the shark diving was the highlight of the trip. The Dive Shop, on premises, run by Chad Sinden, is there to make your diving, snorkeling or fishing adventures a reality. All equipment is available if you don’t wish to bring it. The property itself is massive with trails to walk and private hidden beaches. Meals at the restaurant were great as well. Some of best cracked conch on the island along with their massive burgers, salads and truffle fries. Their chef does an amazing job with fresh lobster salad and wahoo salad, made from the fish we caught. Bonfires and live music on Sundays, pizza night with music on Fridays, it was an all around wonderful stay!

The perfect getaway for families and adventurers alike! We came to Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina via private boat and stayed for two nights during an adventure/tour of some of the Bahamas' Out Islands. We stayed in the private villas on the marina and they were perfect for our crew of eight. The location and isolated setting are incredible, and the amount of activities within a short boat ride of the marina can't be beat. In our two days we went scuba diving and snorkeling with the on-site dive master/instructor, Chad Sinden, spear fishing, fishing, sandbar-relaxing, and a lot more. The restaurant cooked up our fresh fish and it was one of the best meals we had our entire time in the Bahamas. Speaking of the restaurant, the conch fritters are top notch! If you're looking to truly get away while still having a lot to do, look at Cape Eleuthera. When you get there, ask the GM Chris for a tour of some of the site's special spots. You won't be disappointed! Chris grew up coming to the Cape and his passion and dedication are helping it come back better than ever!

My friends and I sailed here as part of the SORC sailboat racing series. Some of us stayed in the villas, other stayed in the cottages. For larger groups, the villas are a bit fancier, have a full-sized kitchen and clothes washer/dryer. Great views from both first and second floors of the marina, and beyond to the beach and ocean. The cottages are a bit more basic with one bedroom and a separate "efficiency" kitchen and living room. Both were sparkling clean. Both had nice quality furniture and good quality mattress and bedding. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. I had a flat tire, and the marina guys brought over a compressor and had me back on the road in 10 minutes. Good on-site restaurant. If you get a rental car, this is a good base of operations for seeing all the sights of the south part of the island – arguably the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean. Can't say enough nice things about this property and the staff. My only possible nitpick is that the service at the restaurant was a little slow, but in all fairness, we bombarded them with a large group. We'll be back!

One of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen. White beaches, turquoise waters and excellent accommodations. We stayed in the two bedroom villas which were well appointed with water views on both sides. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything in walking distance. Don't miss a boat trip out to the sandbar a mile offshore!

We arrived in Cape Eleuthera after a grueling yacht race around midnight February 25, 2021. We were welcomed by the resort manager and staff with open arms. They even opened their bar and cooked hamburgers for our crew. The next day we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at their full service restaurant not to mention splashing around in their pool all day. In this COVID 19 era we are living in the staff got testing set up for us so we could return to the US. Great times - I hope to return next year and enjoy another Bahama mamma or a Kalik brew. Thank you Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina - Fun times

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. We loved our condo, the spectacular view, the beaches, pools and the friendly staff at the restaurant. Especially great was getting out on the water - a cocktail cruise and a boat trip to the sandbar were definitely highlights.
If you are game for traveling to a beautiful remote location, I would definitely visit Cape Eleuthera.

We go to Eleuthera regularly but usually stay in the Governors Harbour area. This time we wanted to dive, and the Dive Shop at Cape Eleuthera has good reviews, so we decided to stay here.
We booked a one bedroom ocean front cottage, which is very newly built. The landscaping around it wasn’t even complete. The accommodations are very nice, tastefully decorated, and our bed was comfortable. The one bedroom cottages have no kitchen, however, they provide a mini fridge and a coffee maker. We discovered that the restaurant does not open for breakfast, and there is nothing offering breakfast within 30 min drive. The staff at the resort offered to have someone bring breakfast to us the first morning. This was a special arrangement that they don’t usually do. We were grateful for this but didn’t want to be an inconvenience. We drove 30 mins to find a grocery store. We bought bagels and cream cheese, then requested a toaster for the remainder of our stay. The staff happily obliged.
The one resteraunt on the property serves decent food, although since it is the ONLY eating establishment in the area, if you are there for more than a few days, the menu is limiting. On Fridays, it closes at 5pm, and the only available food is pizza from a trailer on site. Sunday ‘brunch’ is served from 12 noon, and that is the only menu for that day/evening. I would recommend booking a 2 bedroom accommodation which would include a kitchen, then purchase groceries on your way to the resort if you would like breakfast, and some other options for lunch/dinner.
We were the only people in the restaurant for two evenings. The staff confirmed that there were only a handful of units occupied.
We love Eleuthera, and will return soon, but we will not stay here. The highlight of our time at Cape Eleuthera was the scuba diving. We had two wonderful afternoons with Chad and Anderson. Without the Dive Shop, we would not have stayed. Next time, we will stay at French Leave in Governors Harbour, and drive to The Dive Shop. French Leave has similar pricing for accomodation, but all the amenities you would expect, with many extras to make your stay more memorable. Cape Eleuthera has so much potential. The staff are awesome, and they also wish that there were more amenities available for guests. Very frustrating and disappointing stay.

Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina is truly a hidden treasure. We arrived here by boat in January and stayed for a month. The staff could not be more friendly or more helpful. The restaurant is very good for both local food and regular menu dishes. The snorkeling, diving & fishing could not be better. The a marina staff has improvements going on all the time and everyday is an improvement. This is a remote area with an at home attitude. We recommend you visit.

We stayed at the marina for 5 days and also had a chance to tour the condos and cottages. Chris Morris and his team do an excellent job of maintaining the facilities. Nice beaches, great pool, nice restaurant and friendly staff. They are investing big money in marina improvements....while we were there they were making good progress on building an extensive breakwater which will keep the harbor settled in southwesterly winds. Scuba facility on site. We thought the rates were an exceptional value. Fishing in the area seems to be very good!

The dinner was amazing (catch of the day is so fresh and conch fritters are best on the island!) and Linda is a ray of sunshine. & you MUST get a famous Eddie Wap from the legendary bartender Eddie. It was our friend’s birthday and the chef even prepared a special lava cake & ice cream dessert just for her!

Are there blenders in the villa kitchens?
Answer from MIFlyboy

Shopping is essentially non existent on the south part of the island. Cape Eleuthera is fairly remote and isolated which is what makes it so special. If you looking for a more tourist destination I would recommend Harbour Island on the north part of the island.

You have already received some great information. Depending on you length of stay, I would recommend bringing some frozen meats if you care to do a little cooking yourself. We have grills and your villa has a full kitchen. The market in Rock Sound should be your first stop as you leave the airport. Pick up all the provisions you need. The Villas all have washer and dryers. Anything you need, I will do my best to make happen. If we can make easier on you, you will have that much of a better time. Call me anytime for further details. 242 470 8129.

Rent a boat and explore the nearby cays. Lots of sea life to see and shells to find on those empty beaches. We also enjoyed a bit of fishing along the way heading back into the marina.
