We had an amazing time at Cape Eleuthera Resort. From the moment we arrived we all felt relaxed. Not an overcrowded spot but a perfect hidden gem. We had a beautiful, well appointed 2 bedroom villa with a fully equipped kitchen. The view over the marina and out to sea was perfect for your morning coffee. If you crave nightlife, this is not for you, but if you wish to sit on gorgeous beaches, have most, if not all of it, to yourself, this is the place. We fished and the restaurant cooked our catch! We snorkeled in crystal clear water and for divers, there are many spots a very short boat ride away. For adventure lovers, the shark diving was the highlight of the trip. The Dive Shop, on premises, run by Chad Sinden, is there to make your diving, snorkeling or fishing adventures a reality. All equipment is available if you don’t wish to bring it. The property itself is massive with trails to walk and private hidden beaches. Meals at the restaurant were great as well. Some of best cracked conch on the island along with their massive burgers, salads and truffle fries. Their chef does an amazing job with fresh lobster salad and wahoo salad, made from the fish we caught. Bonfires and live music on Sundays, pizza night with music on Fridays, it was an all around wonderful stay!…
We are taking a tour of the Caribbean in our light plane and needed a midway point to break up the journey, so we decided to overnight in south Eleuthera. We found this place on Trip Advisor, and while we have had mixed experiences with resorts that cater to boaters in terms of amenities and service, this place was incredible! We will definitely be back for a longer stay to unwind. The facilities are great, our Rock Sound cottage was clean, large and well appointed with mini kitchen, fast wifi and TV. Dinner was great. But the biggest difference was the friendly, attentive staff! Manager Kat Dubowitz secured us a taxi from the Rock Sound Airport and arranged to have a breakfast and box lunches packed for us at dinnertime. She stayed in frequent contact before and after our arrival, and the staff at the check in were friendly and efficient. Eddie looked after us at dinner overlooking the pool and ocean -- he makes the best Goombay Smashes I've ever had in many trips to the Bahamas. This is my ideal vacation place -- lots of water sports, quiet, no bustle. Like most low lying areas it can have mosquitos so always be sure to pack some spray. If you stay at the villas it is a bit of a hike to the dinner facilities but they have golf carts available. Definitely recommend it.…
Not my first Bahamas trip, favorite place so far will definitely be coming here every year. Our party of 9 stayed in two of the villas side by side, joined by family that came in on a Catamaran and docked in the marina. Staff is great, friendly and accommodating. Location is beautiful secluded area with great support from resort amenities- nice restaurant with varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the Caribbean sea with gorgeous sunsets and fantastic cocktails. Sunset beach is steps from the restaurant and a great place for a leisurely ocean swim. Worth getting snorkel equipment for the week at OIO onsite or buy it at the dive shop also onsite. Everywhere you go you have coral and fish to enjoy. We rented a boat for the week and at the last minute added having a captain. SO WORTH IT. Captain Mario took care of everything and knew all of the best snorkeling, dive fishing, bottom fishing spots. Had LOTS of fresh fish each day for dinner and fished 5 out if seven days. Great times grilling out by the back verandas in the evening as the sun sets and enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the marina. Fourth hole - just down the coastline - quick 5mins in car or 20min walk -is amazing. Fantastic coral heads with so very many fish. Shallow parts and deeper parts to suit all comfort levels. Trip to the sandbar was fun, saw a giant starfish. Don’t miss Friday nights at the outside bar with the band- great fun! The Market is an unusually well stocked grocery store on the island that delivers - we had food for the week waiting in our villas when we arrived and same day delivery as we needed to fill in. Loved that the villas are equipped with washer/dryers. There were TVs in the villas, who cares, didn’t turn them on once. All in all great way to enjoy unspoiled Eleuthera. …
We arrived in Cape Eleuthera after a grueling yacht race around midnight February 25, 2021. We were welcomed by the resort manager and staff with open arms. They even opened their bar and cooked hamburgers for our crew. The next day we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at their full service restaurant not to mention splashing around in their pool all day. In this COVID 19 era we are living in the staff got testing set up for us so we could return to the US. Great times - I hope to return next year and enjoy another Bahama mamma or a Kalik brew. Thank you Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina - Fun times
My friends and I sailed here as part of the SORC sailboat racing series. Some of us stayed in the villas, other stayed in the cottages. For larger groups, the villas are a bit fancier, have a full-sized kitchen and clothes washer/dryer. Great views from both first and second floors of the marina, and beyond to the beach and ocean. The cottages are a bit more basic with one bedroom and a separate "efficiency" kitchen and living room. Both were sparkling clean. Both had nice quality furniture and good quality mattress and bedding. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. I had a flat tire, and the marina guys brought over a compressor and had me back on the road in 10 minutes. Good on-site restaurant. If you get a rental car, this is a good base of operations for seeing all the sights of the south part of the island – arguably the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean. Can't say enough nice things about this property and the staff. My only possible nitpick is that the service at the restaurant was a little slow, but in all fairness, we bombarded them with a large group. We'll be back!…
I have been to many of the Bahama islands over the past 40 years and I can say that the hospitality here tops the list. Chris the manager is a very positive "can do" guy. The conch burger is great and the kalik beer cold. The staff at the restaurant were also very good. The harbor entrance is deep and straight forward. This is a great stop not to miss. Ron McLean
The perfect getaway for families and adventurers alike! We came to Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina via private boat and stayed for two nights during an adventure/tour of some of the Bahamas' Out Islands. We stayed in the private villas on the marina and they were perfect for our crew of eight. The location and isolated setting are incredible, and the amount of activities within a short boat ride of the marina can't be beat. In our two days we went scuba diving and snorkeling with the on-site dive master/instructor, Chad Sinden, spear fishing, fishing, sandbar-relaxing, and a lot more. The restaurant cooked up our fresh fish and it was one of the best meals we had our entire time in the Bahamas. Speaking of the restaurant, the conch fritters are top notch! If you're looking to truly get away while still having a lot to do, look at Cape Eleuthera. When you get there, ask the GM Chris for a tour of some of the site's special spots. You won't be disappointed! Chris grew up coming to the Cape and his passion and dedication are helping it come back better than ever!…
I was with my girlfriend and group of her colleagues for a business trip and we had the opportunity to stay at this amazing resort. So much to do on the islands nearby and lots of places explore. The restaurants on the property were amazing! You can’t beat the views from the location of the rooms either. 10/10 recommend, and would love to visit again
We just checked out of Cape Eleuthera Resort yesterday and it saved our vacation. We were at another location and on the last day of our vacation we decided we needed one day of luxury. We got to Cape Eleuthera and promptly changed our flights so we could stay three more days. We loved snorkeling, walking the beaches and just looking at the gorgeous water in the marina and on both sides of the point. What a beautiful resort! We were in a 2 bedroom villa and it was very spacious and provided just what we needed. We loved the back porch where we would sit, drink coffee in the morning just watching the gorgeous water. The restaurant was very unassuming and the food was AMAZING!! I never liked any conch fritters before, but I LOVED these and we ordered every day. THANK YOU FOR SAVING OUR VACATION!!…
this was our 3rd trip to the cape. the first one we stayed at the villas, the second, we only made a day visit and stayed in governors harbor in an airbnb, and the this time we stayed the first night in the cottage and the next 5 nights at the villas. My wife and i have explored the entire island, visited all the "recommended spots, beaches, etc. and keep coming back to the clear decision that this is the best place to be on the island. we love shelling and always find prizes to reward our efforts. we also find the staff to be super easy bahamian style, and so friendly. this time we befriended the General mgr Chris and his lovely wife. They were so generous with their time and we really enjoyed their company. I cannot recommend this place enough if you come by boat and dock in the marina, or come by land, you'll have a great time there. the villas really feel like home. all you need for cooking, laundry, etc. super cozy.…
