Stayed in Lodge 7, with 3 other families. It had 8 bedrooms and bathrooms. Had everything we needed. More than enough towels and dishes. Staff were fast in responding to requests, like needing more pool sticks.

We stayed here for a 50th wedding anniversary with family. It was a perfect spot for the 3 families, all with teens. There was always something for the teens to do and the cabin had plenty of space for us all. The kitchens had everything we needed and the cabin was clean. We ran into some small issues while we were there and they fixed the problems right away! Even faster than I expected. Communication was great while we were there and we enjoyed renting the golf cart. I would highly reccommend this place to multi families!

The resort is amazing. We have stayed at Big Cedar Lodge which was nice but truly enjoyed this location being it wasn’t as big which makes for a smaller crowd. Accommodations were great. Unfortunately the weather was all rain the week we were there. The pool is heated which helped the teenagers enjoy the water even with rain coming down. I would recommend staying here. We will stay again if future vacation entails the Ozarks.

Just not that impressed. I’ll start with the pros though: -the pool area is beautiful and there are life guards on duty -we enjoyed the mini golf, though the clubs were in rough condition -the fixtures in the house are beautiful -our cabin had a very nice lake view, but with the wrap around deck there is literally no privacy between cabins And now for the cons: -our bathroom was filthy. Like the absolute most disgusting bathroom I have ever encountered while traveling. While wiping things down as a precaution (because…Covid), my Clorox wipe literally turned black from the shower floor. There were multiple wads of hair, a razor lid, etc on the shower floor. I contacted the number for the on site property manager, and while she was apologetic, there was no one available to clean it until 10:30 the next morning. A man came and cleaned with bleach spray and it looked fine. When I went to shower later, I saw there was mold on the shower head. It looked like the shower hadn’t been cleaned in months. It really put a damper on the vibe of our trip. For a property that is as pricey as this is during peak season plus additional cleaning fees, you expect CLEAN!!! They did say our cleaning fees would be refunded. -the cabin had ants in the kitchen upon arrival. We were told to put away all food, but we had just arrived so they clearly weren’t our fault. It was made to sound like what we had out attracted the ants which was not the case at all. The next morning some one brought ant bait. - 5pm check in. Not a fan of this, but nothing you can do about it. - Kids bedroom had chips, books, and a shirt under the bed from previous guests - Our nightstand had a pair of dried up contact lenses on it. There were just a lot of details that were missed. Especially with promises to have things extra clean because of Covid, this just doesn’t make you feel like it was actually cleaned. Overall, would I stay here again? If I had to pay for it? No. If someone else brought me here? Probably, but I would pack tons of cleaning supplies to be prepared which is ridiculous. When I have a problem when traveling I expect it to be promptly addressed, not to have to wait to the next morning to have a clean shower to use (which still wasn’t properly cleaned!!). I think if they had been able to adequately address the dirty bathroom immediately, I would have given the property a higher rating.

I booked a chalet in November 2020 so that my sisters and I and all of our kids could see each other for Thanksgiving. One week before the trip two members of my family as one member each of my sisters family all tested positive for covid . The resort will not refund us or even offer us a credit for another stay even after providing positive covid test results. The representative that we spoke to said I never informed them and just cancelled the reservation Furthermore , they insist on getting a copy of your drivers license and after being a victim of identity theft and all it involved, I wasn’t comfortable with this policy and was basically told the owner “ doesn’t put up with that s&$& so either provide it or you don’t stay “ I will also note I own five rentals and during covid , as painful as it was, I refunded anyone that was unable To travel due to covid or illness. The policy and customer service are severely lacking here and there are plenty of o her places to stay that won’t put you out $3000 of you get covid and choose to be responsible and not travel

UPDATE : He is ow trying to sue us for the entire amount because he's angry - BE CAREFUL - this guy is litigious, arrogant and unfair - but we will gladly go to court over this. Read their policies carefully before booking !! We had many hesitations about the policies and the management since our very first conversation. The prices were wrong on the website (which they later corrected) but not before they tried to charge us extra for one of the units claiming it had a special view, even though it wasn't listed on the site for that rate when we booked. There are many things that ARE NOT customer friendly at all. Check in times is 5PM. You have to travel with your own beach towels- if you take one of the towels from the rental unit outside they charge you $15. If you don’t close the umbrella by the tales at the pool and wind damages them- they charge you for the table $180 and for umbrella $125. I guess no one cleans up or manages around the pool area and there is no lifeguard. There is zero maid service. And they are not friendly about these policies either … We felt attacked by the forceful way we were being warned about random things, such as not being allowed to have guests. There is a $50 fee if you invite someone not staying at the unit to come over and swim with you. We were really looking forward to our family vacation at Watermill Cove June 5-13. Due to Covid-19 and stay at home orders in some of the cities our family were traveling in from, we were forced to cancel our trip. Since the trip was rapidly approaching and restrictions haven't been lifted yet we made the decision to cancel at end of April, thus giving them 5 weeks notice. A lot of Branson was still shut down by the end of April. The owner of Watermill Cove, Steve, called me almost a week after we cancelled. This guy was RUDE & arrogant. After speaking with him for a few minutes I realized the management was awful because the owner was even worse. I shared with Steve my intentions to dispute the charges and post reviews on all social media outlets - Steve did not like this at all - he went into a tirade yelling at me claiming I was threatening him & now he was keeping all my money instead of refunding me the deposit minus 20% per his own policy. He said I was trying to defame the company and extort him - then he hung up on me. I called back and he said he was blocking my number saying the only way he would give back any of my money is if I sent him an apology letter saying I was “sincerely sorry for what I had done to them”, promise not to make a dispute & promise not to post anything on the internet-This guy is a BULLY. TRYING TO SILENCE ME AND REFUSE MY REFUND - IS EXTORTION – and a violation of the CONSUMER REVIEW FAIRNESS ACT (CRFA) which protects people’s ability to share their honest opinions about a business’s products, services, or conduct, in any forum, including social media.( this means when Steve told me I couldn’t post anything on line if I wanted any of my money refund- it was a violation of the law ) which could result in FINANCIAL PENALTIES, as well as a FEDERAL COURT ORDER. Then Steve sent me an email threatening me - saying I had 24 hrs to write said letter or all deals are off the table... All over the Nation people living full time in rental homes/ properties were told they didn’t have to pay rent BUT Watermill Cove feels like a vacationer that never even came to the property and signed a contract 8 months before a global pandemic should have to pay in full for their trip to get a credit or be penalized? I couldn't be more upset with the Horrendous way this company is treating us. I will follow up this review to let you know how everything turns out –We will certainly NEVER visit here after this experience IN CASE anyone else out there is going through something similar with WaterMill I wanted you to know your rights!

I highly recommend! We had our family of 15, ages 8 mos to 53 yrs old, stay in their 7bdrm lodge. It was big enough for us to stay comfortably. Nice to have everyone in one place. Comfy beds. Roomy. Reserving for next year. Loved all of the activities for everyone.

Great facility! Very nicely appointed and well maintained. We had a great time. Perfect for family getaway. We rented a boat from Indian Point Marina and were fortunate to have a boat slip available at Watermill Cove. Pool was great for the grandkids and the big kids jumped off rocks and hiked and explored. Would be a great place for larger family gatherings. We will be back.

I have wanted to stay here since they opened 4 years ago but never have been able to. Because of COVD-19 cancelations, I was able to book a villa for our family of 18 on short notice. Our villa was amazing and everything I hoped for--absolutely beautiful and plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the variety of activities and took advantage of all of them (at least the grandkids did). They commented that it was so nice to have a free arcade and that they could also get equipment right at the activities. They especially liked not have to sign equipment out, but rather just use it and return it. We did rent a golf cart primarily for our son who has a disability but the grandkids also liked riding in it. The rental process was very easy. We had a couple of questions while we were there. It was very easy to call or text the property manager, who quickly responded. There are absolutely no negatives to this place!!

We stayed in Unit M at Watermill with 16 people - 6 adults and 10 kids. Watermill was absolutely perfect. It’s compact enough that the kids could go to the game room or putt putt alone while we cooked but spread out enough that we felt isolated. The condo was massive, updated and perfect for the group. We will absolutely be back. Great time!
