Profound beauty, peaceful, gods abode, snow view, yoga, meditation and serenity is something one can experience at Peaches and Pears. Loving and caring hosts. Worth a visit. Just a few kms ahead of Gopeshwar town it’s situated in Rauli.
Peaches and Pears offers a wonderful home stay experience with its attention to detail, genuine caring for clients (who are treated as family), and profound respect for the culture and environment of the Himalayas. I’ve never learned so much in just six days, not only about the lives of the villagers I visited, but also about my own capacity to learn and grow with guides such as Poonam, her family and friends. Poonam’s mother is a loving and generous spirit who expresses her care for you with delicious meals made from local ingredients, including spices, fruit, and vegetables grown right at Peaches and Pears Home Stay. An excellent experience for adventurers who seek both physical exploration and spiritual fulfillment.
Beautiful home and a wonderful mom, after almost 36 hours of travel from Bangalore, it felt so wonderful to experience home in the lap of Himalayas. Snow capped mountains lit up to an orange flame during sunset and this was what i could see from my room in this home. Hopsitality at its best, wonderful food and really nice neat cozy place.
I love when I have the opportunity to support social causes through travel! Peaches & Pears Himalayan Homestay is a social enterprise that provides employment opportunity to widows and victims of domestic violence. Everything about our stay here was perfect, from the home-cooked organic food to celebrating Diwali in style, dancing around to music with the women. We were all so happy. If you're in Gopeshwar definitely stop here at the homestay and support their cause.
Far from the crowd, overlooking the wide open valley of the Alaknanda. This little place is something hard to forget. Live in a house that belongs to this lovely family. Nice rooms, airy and well lit. I wish every mountain lover had a terrace at home, like the one at Pears and Peaches. I could count sixteen species of birds around the terrace, surprisingly good number considering that the birding season is about to begin. What made this place even more enjoyable to me was the hospitality of The lady who became my Didi in a day. So humble and charming, this Didi of mine is a wonderful host. The food we get here cannot be expected in a hotel/restaurant. Just like what I eat at home Didi almost pampered me with Alu Paranthas and curd in breakfast. All this comes from my heart and I am going to be there once again soon !!…
