We booked this hotel on the recommendation of my boss and are completely satisfied. The villa was beautiful, the pool large and with a direct view of the sea. Breakfast is (unfortunately) not buffet style, but as it is a small hotel, that is totally understandable. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusive. The fitness room is not very big, but it's still a nice place to do some exercise. The massages were very relaxing and the price was perfectly fine. Happy hour on the terrace is a treat and we enjoyed it several times. There are a few nice restaurants within walking distance, but dinner at the hotel was also very good and priced perfectly fine. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!
A beautiful Resort away form the hustle and bustle of the main Bali hub! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Griya. Our private Villa as DIVINE with views that were spectacular! Hannu, the manager was charming and so helpful as were every one of his delightful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the resort many times, food was fresh and delicious! We will definitely be returning.
The Griya Willas and Spa is an exceptional place to stay in the Amed area. From what I can tell this appears to be the nicest accommodation in the region. We stayed in the deluxe villa (number 4) which had a large bedroom with king bed, large bathroom with two sinks, a beautiful bathtub, and a private semi-outdoor shower. There was also a private kitchen, eating area, and area with couches/television. It felt like having a small luxury apartment! There was also a yard with two lounge beds and a private pool. It was very luxurious! The staff were wonderful and kind. Very helpful with helping organize activities and addressing any issues. The hotel also has a spa and gym, and shared pools and lounge areas (in addition to the private ones in the villas). The reason I couldn't give that 5th star was because of issues with mosquitoes. The door to the bathroom (which is semi-outdoor) and the doors to the outdoor pool (both from the bedroom and from the main room) do not seal, such that you can see through to the outdoors. This allows mosquitoes to freely enter the space. We tried stuffing towels and bedsheets to no avail. We requested bugnets from the staff but they were not able to provide as the room was not set up in a way to easily hang bugnets. So we just kind of suffered through them. Must have killed about 20-30 in total. We're not squeamish about insects (if you are, don't travel to the tropics!). The concern here is the risk of acquiring infections such as Dengue virus which is prevalent in the region, particularly in the rainy season. And the mosquitoes that transmits this infection are active overnight. Sleeping is one of the highest risk times to acquire the infection, and one of the key prevention recommendations is to sleep in a space that has sealed windows and doors and/or a bugnet. The hotel could not provide these during our stay. I did give them this feedback and they seemed receptive to it. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to stay! But I would suggest you request to the option of bugnets, or a room with sealed doors.…
This hotel was really amazing We got villa 1 amazing room brillante view great service People are very friendly they offer many activities and the hotel is really close to the turtle beach Be careful a LOT OF MOSQUITOS in the room Spa under refurbishment when we were there
We loved our stay in The Griya ! Maybe the best luxurious and relaxing place in Amed. Management and Staff are on Top of expectations and always smiling. Closeby Diving Centers and beach access for snorkeling. Only bemol : Access to villas is not easy if your are not in good heath conditions... Quite Steep if you get Villa 14 :-). But a Golf cart is shuttling you on request... So take the Villa 14 and enjoy the amazing view !
We had a wonderful time at the Griya. We booked a private pool villa, and the morning view was unbelievable. The room was well equipped with good air-con (needed), and a very spacious half indoor/half outdoor bathroom. The kitchen/living space with water dispenser was in a separate villa. The staff were all very friendly, and the manager was on site keen to make our stay enjoyable. The Safka restaurant was pleasant, albeit a limited menu if eating there for all 3 meals but plenty of other places to eat around the hotel. Unfortunately, the Maku restaurant was not open during our stay. We booked the 'one week bliss' package, and found too many activities to squeeze into 7 days. We skipped some of the activities, but did enjoy a private cooking class in our villa and the romantic dinner was delightful. Amed is a quieter area of Bali, but not to be undermined - its less tourist heavy and drier if visiting close to rainy season. I would highly recommend the Griya to anyone looking for a relaxing trip to Bali, and for those who need something to keep you busy during the day - there is looks of fantastic snorkelling +/- scuba diving at nearby bays if the heart desires!…
We had the most amazing time staying at the Griya Villas in Amed. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa and everything was fantastic. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The restaurant and rooftop bar were great with beautiful food and drinks. The tuna 3 ways was a highlight. The Channa Spa was also amazing, so good we went back for a second massage. Highly recommended if you are staying in Amed.
For our 3 last night we've decided to stay at the Griya villa and it was a very good experience. The personel was very kind and helpfull, the spa was delicious and what to say about the villa.... Wonderful view from your own privatif pool... The dream! The food is a bit expensive but there are many Warung just nearby! The location of the hotel is really good.
Amazing place, we really enjoyed our stay ! The villas are well equipped and the private pool is beautiful. The restaurant offers a large choice of nice & tasty meals (Indonesian & continental) Great experience for the whole family, we can only recommend !
We stayed at the Griya for a week and had the best time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the views are unreal, the villas spacious and comfortable, and the spa was a haven of relaxation! A great base for exploring Amed and surrounds. We will be recommending Amed and the Griya to our friends
