My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a one night stay at the property. We booked a Premium cabin which was spacious, private and well appointed.

We had a very friendly and capable personal butler (Otis) who looked after us very well. He took care to ensure we had everything we needed (including a Ludo board in our cabin) and paid attention to the little details like making sure our favorite fruit juices were always available.

From a private dinner at our cabin to a personal tour of the local waterfall, this trip was thoroughly enjoyable and the very professional and well trained staff made it possible. Well worth the money and we can’t wait to go back again to try the vacation homes!!

My family and I chose the Safari Valley resort for our 2022 vacation and we have no hesitation whatsoever giving a review.
The facility has been well planned and every single design in a room has been well thought through. I loved the healthy green environment, our cabin was excellent and the decor was inviting. Rooms were clean and the bedding very neat. The staff right from the reception to the butler were warm, receptive and very accessible. We were spoiled with many good things. I recommend this facility highly.

My weekend at Safari Valley Resort was a relaxing and enjoyable one. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Special thanks to our Butler, Otis, who was absolutely superb! He organised all the activities we wanted to participate in as well as made sure we were comfortable and happy for the duration of our stay. The dining and food at the resort is exceptional and the chefs were very accommodating. One thing that could be improved is the front desk/ receptionist. We tried to book activities before we arrived and we were told we couldn’t by the receptionist but when we got to the resort other staff mentioned that it would have been better if we had communicated before we arrived. Therefore I think the receptionist should try and listen to the guests and accommodate us as much as possible. Also the waiting time between when we arrived and when a butler attended to us was quite a while. We spent more than 30 minutes just at the reception waiting for a butler to take us to our cabin. Due to these inconveniences our butler ensured that we received a late check out as compensation which we really appreciated.
I’d highly recommend SVR and can’t wait to visit again.

Nice resort in the hills, the road leading to the resort is terrible and surprising that given high end resort not been made at least a little easier to drive on! The ‘Safari’ in the name is misleading, we were shown some zebras (8 in total i believe)Wilderbeast, roebuck deers and an assortment of birds. Nice but not a ‘safari’. The communal pool is very small so unless you pay the very high prices for private pool cabins, pools not great. To get around you have to be picked up by a golf buggy, we waited 30 minutes to be picked up after lunch, that waiting could get annoying although if you stay in one of the very expensive cabins you get a butler but not sure if they wait and are there as and when or still have to wait.

We visited with the intention of staying in a family cabin for the night on arrival we explained this and asked to see a cabin to check which is usual here in Ghana but was told we had to pay the day rate to look, so we did this but we’re still unable to see a family cabin. Eventually decided not to stay some of the staff are great but given high end expensive resort something felt missing. Lunch was nice, all appears to be buffet style food.

You are shown into a private cabin as part of the day experience, it was amazing inside and out but not sure it’s worth the £1000 a night price tag!!

Didn’t get to the bottom of where ‘eco’ came from either, they are on the grid for electric, do have bore holes but think that’s more due to where they are located, was told all vehicles are electric there, but was picked up by a petrol minibus when an electric buggy was not available in the resort.

Nice place, lovely scenery, but don’t go expecting too much ‘safari’ or ‘eco’ at the resort!!

If you are going to be rated a 4-star establishment and advertise that single cabins come with a dedicated butler and electric golf cart, that is what you expect to receive...

Cost: 3/5
Though pricey, if I was to travel abroad (US, Caribbean, Asia, EU) I would have spent similarly if not more; however the service and food was not up to par therefore was not worth the cost.

Food: 0/5
All the main dishes tasted like Indian cuisine. Though there was an abundance, typical Ghanaian dishes also fell flat, for example the waakye where the beans were hard. Not many choices, however best dishes I enjoyed were the salads other than that.

Service: 2/5
At the reception it took 30 min. to check it, there was more attention being given to the day visitors. When finally butler arrived, we were taken to the room and dropped off. No introduction about the resort, no tour, no information on available activities, what was included, etc. nada. To top it off that evening we were convinced to have our dinner in our cabin; chef asked us what we wanted to eat and time, we provided all the details and food arrived 1h30 late and the food received was not what we had requested.

Activities: 5/5
Abundance of things to do, horseback riding, golf course, animal feeding, visit waterfalls, football pitch, ping pong, maze, etc. This was the highlight of the resort. I guess it makes sense why there were a lot of day visitors.

Room: 5/5
The room is well decorated and stocked. All wooden cabin and private pool hit the spot. Outside shower was a nice touch. Having some animals (peacock and pony) in your front yard was a breathtaking experience.

This was a perfect get away. We enjoyed every bit of our stay right from our welcome at the reception to the private dinner at our cabin. Activity packed but also allowed time for winding down and relaxation. Super friendly, professional and attentive staff. Otis was a great host and butler. Tracey and Beatrice made delicious strawberry daiquiris. I Love all things wooden and nature so it was great to be in touch with nature.

The food!!! The goat light soup was everything and more.
Private dinner at the cabin catered by the executive chef himself was amazing. We couldn’t make it past our second course because we were stuffed from the delectable goodness we were served with.

We were enthused to see them championing Ghanaian dishes on their breakfast menu instead of the regular full English breakfast.

Taking a shower in the open yet private enclosure… nothing beats that.

My husband and I had a great time and can’t wait to go back for another stay.

Our entire family went for the day just before Christmas! We started with a buffet lunch which was all amazing -keep in mind it is 1 drink including from the buffet. Much of the food was spicy but they had a wide variety including traditional food, pasta, and salads. The golf cart drops you off at your first stop where a guide took us around and we got close to animals including the zebras that walked right past us! We then walked onto the next camp. It was a hot day and not much shade but the whole experience was amazing. We did have a few in our party that cannot walk long distance and the staff were nice enough to give them a golf cart tour!

The staff are the best. They take the extra effort to maximize your experience and fun. The natural welcome juice at the reception is one to look out for, one of the most delicious fruit drinks you'd ever have.
