A few minutes walk from the bus station and a few more in the opposite direction for the collectivos in the quiet Canada district, an absolutely perfect location. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a really nice pool to cool off in after your trip to the ruins. The breakfast was good too, though sadly we had to miss the second one as our bus was at 5 am. Reception were OK about an alarm call for the early hours too. The restaurant was a bit cafeteria style, so we didn't try it in the evening. Maybe we should have on our second night when the Cafe Jade really wasn't good at all.
Yes, I really wanted to have an "s" word for food but ... you can't have everything. This hotel is located in La Canada, a mini-village (they call it eco, no idea why) of tourist hotels in Palenque. It's shady and includes a couple of good restaurants including the one in this hotel. Staff do not speak much English (common in Palenque) but do try to be accommodating. There's no elevator in this 3 story hotel so be prepared to drag your own bags down, if not up (there's usually a porter). There's a small pool with jets (not a hot tub - not hot!) and a larger pool. Rooms are clean and ours had a mini-fridge. There is A/C and ceiling fans and the hotel is away from the hustle of downtown. Really everything we needed for a nice stay.
Newer, well maintained, and clean hotel. Located on a newer street that appeared to be specifically developed for hotels and restaurants with very little traffic and security present. The hotels and restaurants were a bit more expensive than average but worth it. The ADO bus terminal was a short walk down the street.
Lovely looking hotel set in the town's "calle hotel". It has a small pool in the central courtyard. The room had two queen beds, very clean with air con (which we thought was not that strong) and a ceiling fan. No coffee maker in room. Breakfast was simple, no cereals, local cooked food, eggs, fruit and a small selection of pastry. If you want to eat in the hotel they like you to order on arrival. Most people only stop one night to visit the ruins and move on.
Stayed as part of an Intrepid group Thumbs up 👍 Huge clean, tiled floor room Friendly staff Balcony but it was too hot outside Big clean bathroom TV worked Good buffet breakfast Room ceiling fan and A/C Wi fi worked Restaurant meals good Close to small town centre
