Our waiter Alexander was absolutely amazing ! He’s very nice and took such great care of us ! Food was also delicious! I had the fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken soup. I will Definitely come back and hopefully Alexander will be our waiter again !

Had an excellent stay here in January, 2021. Highly recommend to all.

Positives

1. Excellent room – typical Hampton standard, noise free.
2. High speed internet, no problem to stream you tube or Netflix.
3. Strong pressure in the shower, with very hot water. Really enjoyed the shower.
4. Very polite/helpful front desk staff.
5. Excellent location – close to airport.
6. Plenty of plug points near the bed and else where in the room.
7. Efficient Gym ( no barbell) but lot of dumb bells plus treadmill, elliptical etc. I also saw some staff cleaning everything with gel many times over.
8. The uber from airport ( just in front of arrivals gate) to this hotel costs 3 usd , one way.

Negatives

1. The in-house restaurant has very basic food. The waiters are extremely irritating/nosy. The worst thing, the only beer they had were Corona and Heiniken. They did not have their world famous national beer, “Presidente” in their restaurant, and it really made me feel upset as I looked forward to drinking it in my one day stay in DR.

2. No airport shuttle service.

3. The washbasin sink seemed chocked.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially if you are in transit in DR, as I was. Overall, pleasant memories of this hotel.

If this was in the US, I would probably rate it 3-4 stars, but being in the DR, it deserves 5 stars, if you've ever stayed at a off brand hotel here you'd understand. Room was a little small, tiny shower, small beds, but everything was clean, breakfast buffet was great and free, dinner was ok but not great, a less than 10 minute uber to Boca chica made this a perfect spot to go enjoy the beach, and then get away from the craziness to sleep. Staff were very friendly, service was very attentive.
I would definitely come back here.

With exception of Front Desk staff Hilton needs to provide remedial training on cooking, serving, and cleaning. Under current corona-19 virus concerns, clean needed to be wiped down much better (counter tops, desk...). Food on floor meant chairs, trash cans, etc. weren't moved. Food was poorly prepared, overpriced, poorly presented and service was unremarkable if not offish!

I stayed here before an early morning flight and thought it was grossly overpriced. The pool was nice but room was cold and musty, staff not especially welcoming and overall quite cold. I requested a quiet room but could hear others showering and drying their hair. The shower was nice but unable to adjust height and the hairdryer was ancient. These are all small things that wouldn’t usually bother me much if this hotel had not cost significantly more than anywhere else I had stayed during this trip which did not have any of these issues.
The restaurant staff were fantastic with my food intolerances and the shuttle service to the airport convenient but I would say it’s worth around 3-4 x less than the nightly rate I paid for it. There are much better options

I made this reservation mainly because they offered in different websites including their own, a free shuttle from the airport which is not available and will not be available in the near future as I was explained; we waited for so long at the airport until called them, then had to take a taxi($10). After complaining, the manager, Mr. Trinidad kindly paid a taxi back to the airport at our check out. I believe that been an airport hotel, the shuttle is a must, also it is locate in a non interesting area. The room #303,an advertised as (two double beds) had only two XL twin beds which are not real double ones. The connecting door allowed us to listen all noises and conversations from our next door guests. When took a shower, the really strong chlorine smell is like showering with pool water. Breakfast was really good considering it is a Hampton, for sure is above the standard found in a same brand hotel in US. Staff is nice and attentive. Finally, the US$120, plus an outrageous 28% tax paid for one night does not worth what is received for.

Our one night stay at the hotel was perfect en route to La Romana. Minutes away from the Airport of the Americas, free breakfast was offered and the accommodations was ideal. Safety measures are taken with plenty of hand sanitizer and face masks.

I was at this hotel a week or two ago, and receive a warm welcome from one of the receptionist who took care of my reservation but on the next morning I was treat like I was at home by ANGELO ROSSO he really make me fee at home, he took care of me and my friends no only with the breakfast but also explain to us everything about the DR and the area close to the hotel. He also manage to care about other peoples at the same time. He really deserve a compliment and a congratulation. Because of his positive attitude we will be back to the hotel.

I spent one night at Hampton Inn Santo Domingo Airport in July 2021 on the way back to Europe. Hotel location is very convenient, a few miles from the terminal (a shuttle service is provided). The access road was under construction or being repaired when I stayed at the hotel but that was not a big issue. Check-in and check-oit were quick and efficient. My room was spacious, well appointed and quiet, located on the back of the building. I had dinner at the hotel. Food was OK even though you never expect great things in such places. Departing and landing flights are displayed on a screen in the lobby which is a nice and useful feature. In short, when looking for a modern, comfortable, and well located hotel near Santo Domingo airport Hampton Inn does the job nicely. Therefore, I have no issue recommending it.

I’ve been coming to this hotel faithfully for 4years because of work. One of the reason I love coming to the Dominican Republic and especially this facility is because of the way the staff treats me with my every need. Ever since my first visit Alexander been nothing but good to me, as he would say “she’s my sister, she’s my friend”. Today stood out the most for me because I’ve been working nonstop and haven’t really gotten proper rest or food and I just really wanted some soup. I asked for sancocho and immediately he said when do you want it, 4pm or 5pm. I said 5pm because I wanted to give them some time to make it, at 4:46pm he called my room and he said it was ready. This is my 4th day this week at the hotel and every day that I’ve arrived he made sure I was well taken care of along with the rest of the crew. Anyone that interacts wit Alexander knows he’s a gem and he takes pride in what he do. I’m forever grateful to him because he don’t know how much I needed that today.

When I stayed at the hotel last summer there was no COVID testing requirement to travel back to my country in Europe. Therefore, unfortunately I cannot answer your question. Same for the quarantine rooms. However, I remember that there was a shuttle from the hotel to the airport terminal but I do not know how it works as I didn't use it. I had a rental car and I had to return it at the airport. Hope my answer was helpful anyway.
