Unbelievable resort with expansive beautiful grounds, gardens, swimming pools, playgrounds and even a zoo. The kids enjoyed the labyrinth as much as anything. The food and service was excellent. The breakfast buffet was also expansive, with made to order omelets.

This is an exquisite hotel just outside Chiang Mai. It is set in a stunningly beautiful botanic garden which boasts an abundance of paths which wind past lakes, cactus gardens, orchid gardens and a variety of other horticultural delights. There is a different vista at every turn and it is easy to lose yourself in the spectacular beauty of this place.
The hotel consists of six complexes of high quality, mostly single story accommodation with beautifully furnished rooms. Some are in the traditional Lanna style of northern Thailand and others offer more contemporary fittings. Most of the room complexes have their own swimming pool. This gives the impression of being in a small hotel while in fact there are a large number of rooms.
There is a restaurant which provides a comprehensive menu of Thai and western food at reasonable prices. An excellent buffet breakfast will satisfy most tastes. There is also a spa that provides quality massage.
Although the hotel is out of town a free one way bus is provided to the town centre daily, while a return shuttle to Chiang Mai's night market is scheduled every evening.
The staff are all exceptionally friendly and are always ready to help with a smile.
My wife and I have visited this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. We were here in late January to mid February 2020, just as the current health crisis was beginning to emerge and we were impressed by the attention to the well-being of the guests and staff that was applied by the hotel management.
If you want a well appointed hotel in a peaceful setting with the facilities of a vibrant city a short ride away then this is the place to stay.

This resort is huge and extremely private (keep in mind would be very very hard to keep maintained perfectly..therefore I'm not touching on the small maintenance issues or cobwebs etc). Even with 200-500 people it feels empty which is nice for a change. Staff are lovely and try their best always smiling. There are 3 pools, one is quite hidden and we remained there for most of the day. The gardens are enormous (think of a miniature city and takes 1.5hrs just to walk), many lakes and lots to see...highly recommend for a morning stroll before it gets too hot. The room is nice and the restaurant does its job. A few things for improvements: pls put mosquito spray in each room as there were so many in our room (once sprayed it was fine), beds are hard, security box's battery dead...the petting zoo is absolutely unnecessary and some of the animals looked unwell (ostriches in particular). Why not let the peacocks and smaller birds roam the gardens freely...that would make the ambience so so much nicer. Once you get past the shock of the first nights mosquitos it's extremely peaceful here.
The owner should consider turning this place into a yoga, beauty, health retreat as it's so vast, secluded and relaxing.

What an amazing tranquil place this is. So much to see. Set in what can only be described as an oasis, a slice of heaven.
Exceptional customer service. Staff are so kind and considerate, warm and inviting.
The place is great for conferences too. Everything is well spread out so you don't feel you are on top of each other.

We held an important Retreat for 5 nights at Horizon Village this November. With a broad range of diverse people from across the globe, young and old, we were needing a place the met all of our needs and wants. The facilities and service and food & beverage at Horizon delivered and exceeded our expectations. The grounds were beautiful and entertained all ages. Special mention and huge thanks to the Manager Khun Dia who was involved with us all the way from booking and then for any day-or-night requests during the 5 nights. Khun Dia and her team went the ‘extra mile’ and even set up our meetings rooms in special ways we didn’t even think of. We highly recommend Horizon for any small or big getaway or conference.

The rooms, facility were great . WiFi in the rooms needed to be better since no English speaking Channels on TV, so had buffering when watching shows through computer.
Reception and staff were very nice. It was also nice having a tram or golf cart available to get to meetings on the grounds instead of walking in the heat.

Stayed here for a couple of nights before a flight from Chiang Mai. I think this is one of the best managed hotels we have stayed at in Thailand. The rooms, facilities and the grounds are immaculate. Staff are attentive but not in your face. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds, a decent bathroom, good shower, hot water, TV, fridge and comfortable balcony furniture. There are a few pools, all really nice and clean. Breakfast is a really good buffet with just about anything you could want. The rooms are set around a number of lovely small lakes/ponds. The grounds are fantastic. Perfectly manicured botanical gardens with beautifully sculptured bushes and an array of Flora from all around the world. There is a nice and interesting small museum consisting of a replica village and showing the local way of living. There is also a small Zoo for those that like seeing animals and birds in cages. Not my thing but it's there.

Really really loved our stay at Horizon!
The minute we pulled into the resort we felt at peace. So much space, so much to see, so much to do. We loved stepping outside of our room and being able to go on long walks or bikerides, kids loved the playgrounds and animals. We loved the three swimming pools, particularly the two with a slide.
First three night we spent in a deluxe room I think, which was spacious and great. Then we moved to a standard room which was also very nice, but a bit smaller.
Breakfast was good, lots of options.
Staff always very friendly.
Only downside is that we think the food at the restaurant is just about average. Not bad, but also not very good.
But there are a bunch of excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive (Bucoliq, Chill House, Locanda…) or you can order Grab.
City of Chiang Mai is about a 15 minute drive away, easy drive, just staright down the road.
It was the perfect retreat for us, we never were bored and the kids LOVED it.

We've been to HV&R several times. We always feel pampered. Check in is a breeze and the rooms have all been delightful right down to the fancy folded towels. There are several swimming pools where you can relax in the shade or suntan. The grounds are vast and there is so much to see. It is easy to arrange a ride into the city which is not far away. I'll go back anytime I am in Chiang Mai, for sure.

This is a beautiful location, the grounds are amazing and the attentiveness of the staff is first rate. I found the room we stayed in very clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable, not too hard like many around Asia. I used this for a conference we were leading and would go back again if the opportunity arose. It was just far enough out of Chiang Mai to be out of the city but still easily accessible. Highly recommend this place!

The hotel is lovely but it is quite spread out and some walking is involved. There are small trolleycars that run around the resort to transport people to different venues. I checked the map but can't identify a 'ballroom', perhaps the 'convention centre'? There are some buildings that have 2 stories but no lifts that I am aware of. The hotel is quite helpful, I'm sure they would answer your questions.
Greeting from Horizon village and Resort and Tweechol botanical garden. It is 15 kilometers from downtown. You might get sth. that you want to use or eat on the way from downtown to the resort . Anyway we have small kisok but it will be closed at 5.00 pm. During the day we have free shuttle bus at 10.30am and 6.30 pm . which you may ask all details from the receptionist. There is one restaurant which be open from 11am to 10.30pm. Come and see by yourself .,our resort is not that isolated. Have a nice day. Lookforward to seing you.
No need to bring adapter with you .
