Oh my goodness what an absolute treat. The staff, the grounds, the location, the room, the food, the spa all faultless. We stayed in room 16 and didn't want to leave. We had a private patio overlooking a huge private garden. Heaven.

A misnomer - the rating is for the way the staff reacted when we had to cancel our booking at the very last minute due to this silly old b******s heart problems. Without any fuss they moved our dates to November, rearranged the dinner bookings and changed my wife’s spa treatment. Superb customer relations. We have stayed on a number of occasions and look forward to our postponed visit. Just go! Sincerely Geoffrey Bond

Had an absolutely amazing time away, we visited for the first time a couple of day's ago. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The food was brilliant, the starters were amazing and the mains were great. Lovely spa facilities, we had massages which were incredible. The hotel was very cosy and beautiful scenery around the area.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. The hotel could do with a bit of TLC in some parts and our room (#18) was small for a superior double and a little musty smelling however the bathroom was clearly recently updated and was spacious and supremely clean. The food was exquisite so full compliments to Head Chef Callum and team, the only 1 meal we could find any fault in was the cheese and ham sandwiches they were very small compared to the club sandwich we ate the day before - but this is mainly due to us doing a monster walk and being ravenous so maybe others would be satisfied with the portion size! Location is great for walkers with good options on your doorstep. Cathy in the restaurant gets the main shout out from us she was awesome, so friendly and chatty and nothing was too much trouble, to be fair all of the restaurant staff were great we just took an extra shine to Cathy who was so helpful and took the time to chat which was welcome given how quiet it was during our stay. Wonderful lady and a credit to the hotel. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I booked The Park House Hotel to celebrate my best friends 50th birthday and her remission from cancer, away from both our families and our children. I wanted a quiet, COVID aware hotel, which would provide a relaxing one night away. This hotel was absolutely spot on. I booked a Family Suite, three course dinner, bed and breakfast at £385 for two people. Our suite was lovely, room 10 on the second floor, which is at the front of the building. Very comfy beds and lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Our evening three course meal was delicious and the restaurant staff very accommodating when we asked to be moved to a quieter area. We intended to use the pool and spa, but never made it, we were too busy chatting in our room! Full English breakfast was delicious, my only comment would be that the coffee could be stronger, but that is just my personal taste. This is a lovely hotel and we had an excellent one night away. A very big 'thank you' to all the staff for their hard work providing excellent service in very challenging times.
