A Really nice hotel with excellent Sports facilities and views . Delightful helpful staff . Nice food . Average accomodation . AREA / SURROUND : A lovely part of southern England with beautiful countryside , quaint villages and wide choice of pubs STAFF : Very obliging . Keen to help . All very pleasant & agreeable people . CLEANLINESS / MAID SERVICE Very clean and the staff who did my room were exceptionally good and lovely . SERVICE : This is good but if you are on the patio areas it is a little slow at times and sometimes you have to search for some staff for drinks orders etc... Also a little more alacrity in the dining area would be good FACILITIES : There are two grass tennis courts , Croquet lawn , Bowls green , Table Tennis Table , Snooker table , 6 hole golf course , outdoor pool , indoor pool & spa . THIS IS ALL QUITE SUPERB ! There is equipment available for all sports but it's rather old & tired . In fact , I cut my finger on a croquet mallet as it was split . For the sake of spending several hundred pounds the hotel could appropriately reflect the excellent amenities with worthy bats , racquets , clubs & balls . Also you need to provide bath robes up to 4XL , not stop at large ! FOOD ; Fine dining essentially . Very nice but typically small portions . Reasonable wine list but a little expensive . £14- glass of wine / £40- a bottle plus . The breakfast is a "curates egg" , as the hot cooked breakfast menu has a really good choice and is delicious . The buffet conversely is Poor . Just two juices available . How about some Tomato , Cranberry , Grapefruit , Pineapple ? just 2 fresh fruit available - Melon & Grapefruit . No apples , plums , pears , peaches individual fruits etc.. No cold meats or cheeses . No flavoured individual yoghurts etc... PARKING : Plentiful . Very good indeed . GROUNDS : Lovely . Well tended . Calming , Delightful . Nice ground staff ACCOMODATION ; This lets the hotel down a bit sadly . We were in the newer part of the hotel next to the spa which has about 8 rooms I think ? Although it's relatively quiet , its very warm and the room is poky . The modern bathroom takes up nearly half of it with a mirror in the eaves up to a height of 5 foot which means I cannot see to shave . The shower is very good though . It's fly / wasp season and you can't do much about that , but a fly trap and spray in each room would help , The furnishings are old and do not match at all . There is a ghastly uncomfortable plastic chair and glass table taking up most of the entrance hall . Dirty stained thick drapes . The bed is just awful . I got about 4 hours sleep a night . It's like a water bed and you sink in it without any back / body support . The TV is useful but way too small . Tiny wardrobe with insufficient hangers . The worst thing for me though was a lack of any fridge / mini bar . This is just absurd at £300- a night ! To have to call down for milk whenever you need it , is just ridiculous and when its 80 degrees plus you need cold water ! My comments are meant to be constructive and helpful and with some tweaking this hotel could get the extra star from me and even the AA . I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay there again !

Exceeding customer expectation is key to a first class hotel experience & the team at Park House Hotel did this in bucket loads. From the moment we checked in, all STAFF were ATTENTIVE , professional & friendly. We stayed in Bay Tree Cottage, a quaint self catering accommodation within the grounds & had access to all amenities. The OUTDOOR POOL was the biggest plus, during a week of soaring temperatures, with an OUTSIDE BAR we did feel we were in the Med. On a B&B rate, we also took advantage of eating in the restaurant some nights, as well as ordering room service. FOOD was CONSISTENTLY GOOD with a GOOD & VARIED CHOICE. I had a MANICURE in the small spa area which was PROFESSIONAL & a FRIENDLY experience. The hotel does cater for CHILDREN, although there are SET TIMES for CHILDREN using the POOL & RESTAURANT. I can understand this as other people’s children can be disruptive, as we experienced from a young family hell bent on running around the breakfast tables, barefoot with various items of food being thrown on the floor to then had a go at running on the croquet lawn whilst it was ‘in play’. Talking with other guests, it was lovely to hear a lot of return visitors and regulars assuring me of a LOYAL RETURN CUSTOMER BASE. Surrounded by the SOUTH DOWNS & CHOCOLATE BOX COTTAGES, it was such a pleasure to stay at Park House Hotel & SUPPORT AN INDEPENDENT FAMILY RUN HOTEL.

First time visit at this beautiful hotel. My husband and I decided on a weekend break. Excellent service, staff were very friendly. Spa facilities were exceptional. Had a treatment and was very relaxing (well worth it). The weather was lovely and we made good use of the amenities. The food and wine was excellent. We stayed in a superior room and it was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning again. Park House is above and beyond any chain hotel we have stayed in.

What a lovely place ! Unfortunately food not amazing ( the half board dining options are incredibly limited ) but kids options good and brilliant brilliant staff . The pool is lovely and the outdoor pool on a sunny day makes you feel like you are in LA . Just great homely family ambience . The tennis and croquet was so fun . Great clientele . Felt quite luxurious but homely and We’ll be back soon

My sister and I have just stayed for 2 nights . Perfect location, beautiful , tranquil grounds. Our twin room was perfect, the food, delicious and the staff very efficient and friendly. We had treatments in the spa, which were amazing, and we had the swimming pool and jacuzzi to ourselves. Altogether faultless. Hope to return later in the year.

After two years of planning with so much uncertainty, this very special event took place. We had the whole hotel booked for 40 of our nearest and dearest friends and family and it wasn’t long before we felt so comfortable it was like home from home. We really could not have asked for anything more. The staff were exemplary, the food and wines first class and the rooms were wonderful. All of our guests extolling the hotel’s perfection all weekend.

Found this little gem of a hotel when wanting to take my wife away to a spa hotel for her brthday. We had a lovely room with great views over the golf course. We booked in for treatments in the afternoon and was one of the best messages we have ever had, my wife would recommend the leg and foot massage. The area was clean and tidy, pool was perfect size for a few lengths before dinner. Dinner was lovely, just enough time between courses and Megan very helpful, didnt rush us and an asset to the hotel. The whole stay was relaxing and we will certainlt return.

Faultless….. we look for a great venue, great rooms, great food, great service and a great spa. It has all the above in abundance. It’s a great find and we’ll certainly be returning again soon. Thanks to all the staff, great job….. think that’s enough greats ( :-) )

My husband and I both celebrated our 60th birthdays recently. We are usually somewhere in the Caribbean at this time of year but with the current issues we decided to stay fairly local and stayed here for three nights using the hotel as a base for visiting local towns and cities, Midhurst (light trail at Cowdray Park), Petworth, Winchester (Christmas market). Our room was beautiful, clean and tidy, bed comfortable (if a tad too warm, we ended up with the window open even though it was minus 1 degree). Staff were friendly, although seemed surprised we didn't want to done at the hotel each night. We were as I said using this as a rather luxurious base . I had a gorgeous massage on day one in the spa which was a gift from a friend. Breakfast was excellent.
