Just back from a lovely weeks stay at The Coach House. Perfect place for an 'easy' holiday with young children - we all loved the resident sheep, pigs and adorable dogs. 2 vintage tractors were also a massive highlight for our 3 year old! We swam in the pool, which was lovely and warm. The cottage is gorgeous - lovely... More

We spent a week in the beautiful Coach House over New Year with my son and girlfriend joining us for 3 nights. Very impressed, We received a warm welcome with a lovely real Christmas tree, bottle of Champagne waiting and homemade meringues. the house was lovely and warm with underfloor heating and a wood burner for the evenings which wasn't... This is a lovely lovely house for a couple or a family with children. We particularly appreciated home made jam and cakes. There is a great swimming pool with diving board and a games room with pool, table tennis and a punch bag. The tennis courts are fab. The house itself is sumptuous and very clean. Very peaceful despite my... More

The Old Vicarage is simply delightful (we stayed B&B in the main house rather than the sumptuous looking Coach House). Fiona is the perfect hostess (and provider of an exceptional breakfast,). Our room was so comfortable and the bed is made with the crispest, whitest linen imaginable. Combine this with a dreamy setting with stunning views towards the Mendips and... More

We spent a memorable Christmas week at the Coach House. It is very spacious for 3 adults and a smallish dog and despite winter weather we were wonderfully warm. A Christmas tree greeted us together with lovely muffins and delicious raspberry jam. Views from the house are wonderful - waking up on Christmas morning to a coating of silvery frost... More

Three nights very relaxing B&B. Delicious welcoming blueberry muffins on arrival. Breakfast all locally produced bacon, sausages, eggs etc for full English Breakfast. Fiona's homemade jams, and FRESHLY made bread were fantastic. We were the only guests staying and so also had use of the main kitchen/living room to ourselves! It is such a cozy warm environment and so homely.... More

We spent four nights as a family (including two children, one young dog) on what turned out to be a freezing weekend. But the Coach House kept us warm and comfortable and provided an excellent base for exploring the local scenery. Fiona and Matthew were the height of friendliness, although not intrusive, and have obviously given a great deal of... More

Just returned from a week staying at the gorgeous Coach House in Chittoe. The accommodation is superb - from the expansive living area, four adults, a 10 week old baby and a 2 year old dog fitting very comfortably around the wood burner, to the sumptuous bedrooms and impeccably finished bathroom and wet room. Wonderful warm welcome, lovely grounds. The... More

We have just (July 2012) had a fabulous stay in "The Coach House" at The Old Vicarage in Chittoe. We took our daughter and our 5 month old puppy and we all had a lovely time in this beautifully restored cottage. I am soooo glad we took the doggy crate for the puppy to sleep in rather than roam around... More

My husband, my two children (5 and 2) and I stayed at the Coach House for one week before Easter. The area is a great destination for a UK country break - Longleat Safari Park, Bowood House (amazing adventure playground for the kids), Salisbury, Stonehenge. Avebury Stone Circle and Manor House, Wells, Glastonbury, Bath... there is an awful lot to... More
