My 6 night stay at Fazenda Barranco Alto in mid October 2018 was a delight. This family run farm effortlessly scheduled my days to optimize my knowledge of the land, fauna and flora through the use of their various activities available. The owners, staff and skilled guides were

We stayed as a family and it was probably the highlight of our trip to Brazil (and the least expensive place we stayed I think so best value too). We were made to feel like family, which is rare and greatly appreciated. The activities were great, I went for a decent walk while

Thank you for your feedback, it was such a pleasure to guide and host you all. The before sunrise canoe trip really is magical to drift down the river, switch off and listen to all the sounds of the Pantanal. We shall meet again, whether its Africa or the Pantanal! The kid's art is still proudly in the dining room. Take care, Ben

We spent six nights here and still could have stayed longer. We went for the wildlife and birds but the lodge offers so much more. It's a really relaxing place to stay even though there is so much you can do. Activities are tailored to you and it was the only place we stayed

Thank you so much for your review, it was fantastic to have you here and our children loved the adventure with you all! They don't normally go out with guests but due to such a similar age as your children, they were lucky! We will definitely meet again! Kind regards, Ben, Corinne, Jack and Emilia.

I enjoyed three very full days at Barranco Alto exploring the stunning Rio Negro and adjacent wetlands and lakes. I was quite suprised by ease with which we saw such a stunning variety of mammals and birds, including iconic species - Tapier, Ocelot, Giant Anteater. All three

Hi RS, we really do not recommend people driving their own cars to the lodge. The road is really beyond any quality standard. A 4WD car is needed with HIGH ground clearance and AT or mud tires. The road is only drivable from end of June to October, which is the dry season. For more detail please send us an email. Thanks
