Visited Hintlesham hall for the first time with my mother this afternoon. The tea itself was delicious and very generous, the surroundings were impressive and the service was top class. Thank you to all the staff for a super afternoon!

We had a wonderful overnight stay, celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Afternoon tea on the lawn was lovely and the evening meal superb. The staff were always available, despite there also being a wedding on the same day. Would totally recommend and definitely visit again.

Hintlesham Hall did not disappoint. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a wonderfully furnished and large room. The food was first class, service excellent and staff very friendly. We enjoyed very good weather and so we’re able to take advantage of the grounds. Would definitely recommend.

We were invited to a friends wedding which was held at Hintlesham Hall and were offered a preferential discount if we stayed. We really enjoyed the wedding and were able to enjoy a sherbert or three with no fear of driving limits etc. The room was lovely and clean, well appointed, quiet & comfortable. Far better than any premier/lodge chain but only a fraction dearer and a proper breakfast included.

Beautiful venue, superb food, excellent staff and hardly expensive for four star luxury. It really is up there with Burgh Island, The Savoy and Flemings of Mayfair. YES, it really is THAT good. I don't give praise too easily, but this place is well worth it, well done.

This was our 2nd visit as we stayed with family last year for my mum & dads Diamond wedding anniversary. We spent 2 days there for my husbands 60th birthday, customer service is excellant, unfortunately an armchair in our room had a broken leg & within 5 minutes of reporting it someone came & replaced it & then returned it repaired the following morning. Very relaxing with comfortable lounge areas & lovely rooms, we have even purchased one of their duvets! We had a fantastic afternoon tea, food was very good & they gave my husband a specially made chocolate plaque with our coffee for his birthday. Would highly recommend & would visit again.

We had an overnight stay with afternoon tea and evening meal. All the staff who dealt with us were friendly and helpful and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The Hall and gardens are maintained to a high standard. Our room was excellent, large very comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and spotlessly clean bathroom.

Let's start with the good stuff. The building, reception rooms, dining room and grounds are superb. The staff are willing and helpful. And then the not so good. Everything was ok. The food was ok. Our room (a Junior suite) was spacious and quirky but built into the roof with windows at low level and so no great views over the lovely countryside. But the problem is we spent £460 for D,B & B which is a lot and for that the standard is not good enough. Hotels have been through very tough times recently - as a result of Covid and of Brexit (making staff recruitment and retention difficult). So I am hesitant to be too critical. Any criticism levelled is made in the hope it will be helpful and if possible lead to change. Not sure what can be done about too few staff. There was no one to show us to our room and help us with our bags so we wandered around a bit aimlessly before finding it. At breakfast there was a very pleasant but clearly untrained staff member who made several mistakes with our order. The big disappointment was the quality of the food. As I say it was ok but we paid the equivalent of £95 per head for dinner (including half a bottle of wine one large G&T and one large Calvados). My main of venison was pretty tasteless and my wife's pigeon breast was tough. The breakfast lacked imagination and the full English as noted elsewhere was poor. Bear in mind this place has the legacy of the great Robert Carrier and also Ruth Watson to live up to but sadly it doesn't. Improvements are needed if it is going to justify the price. We won't be back until we see evidence that changes have been made.

What a wonderful few days! I went away for some R&R and that is exactly what I got. A historic manor house set in beautiful countryside. Staff polite and attentive. Rooms traditional and cosy. Food is excellent especially the Breakfast selections. There are weekly set a la carte menus, plus a lounge/ room service menu which is also very good. The hotel comes with a spa facility on site. Many treatments available, of which I indulged in 3! I would definitely go back & stay again!

Lovely room with comfortable bed and great bathroom. Food was delicious. Breakfasts were substantial. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only slight negative remark is that the dinner allowance on the dinner bed and breakfast deal, is insufficiente to cover most options if you wish to eat 3 courses. Otherwise a great stay
