Great place to stay to visit Wilpattu National Park. Hosts are great and feels like home from home . Meals excellent and locally sourced. Beautiful location would highly recommend. Beautiful location also.
About a half an hour drive to the entrance of the Wilpattu National Park, this gem is hidden among the local villages and surrounded by its own vegetable and fruit cultivations. The host Jeewaka was very accommodative of all our requests and made sure that our stay was one to remember. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. They also have a tree house with an amazing view and is ideal to blend in with nature. The food was just so so good. The staff too are very friendly and specially Saman who gave us that extra bit of care and attention. The Loris watch is a must try excursion with their own naturalist Saranga who is exceptional and has a vast knowledge. He will also take you on a birding tour around the property during the early morning hours, if you are not heading into Wilpattu that is. Overall the experience was quite fantastic and I would suggest spending at least half a day at the property to enjoy the surroundings and the birds that visit. Definitely one of the best places to stay around Wilpattu.…
This was a great weekend getaway for us. We had a really nice time. Our kids enjoyed the night nature walk, bonfire and all other activities available at Ibis. Food was amazing and excellent hospitality by the staff.
Probably one of the best locations around Wilpattu with a Lake right in front of you. Meals were simply delicious and the view to dine with makes it even better. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We were there with our One year old little brat which stretched our dining times but the staff never took it as a burden but instead gave us more attention and care. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone.
Superb location, helpful staff, fantastic food and comfortable rooms. Lots of bird life to see and enjoy. Quite, serene and peaceful. The fresh water pool is pure bliss, a cool dip in the shade is just perefct! Wilpattu is about 30 minutes away and easily accessible. Our group of 6 had the place for exclusive use and the need for face masks in public areas was not needed.
