To get here, you must follow the Cape Cornwall road. First warning - narrow road, if there is opposite direction traffic, the fun begins... The room we had was very small, almost no space besides the furniture in it, and having to take shoes off to go upstairs resulted in guests appearing with bare feet for breakfast... Goodness. Speaking of... More

This place is awful! The conservatory is dirty! The old man who owns it does not like children and is very rude. Rude signs written in the conservatory saying children aren't allowed to go outside, they have to stay inside a boiling hot conservatory when they come for swimming lessons. Why hire out your pool for CHILDREN'S swimming lessons if... More

Visited this hotel to see if it was suitable for us later this year. How glad we were we that we took a look around first! Decor very dated, looked overall dirty and bit grubby and that was just the entrance and reception!! We actually wanted to se f we could use the pool as people had said we could... More

I've been coming here for a number of years now to have a quiet break from the hectic city life of Liverpool. The hosts Nigel and Thelma are fantastic hosts and Boswedden house is absolutely marvellous. Breakfasts are gorgeous. I also have aquatic therapy sessions with Delphiris in the pool which is very relaxing and an experience I would recommend... More

I attended a Yoga retreat with Jackie Robinson, in February. This is a perfect place for a retreat, surrounded by silence and about half a mile to the National trust coastline of Cape Cornwall. The room was comfortable and very peaceful. To start with it was rather cold, but I managed to understand the radiator control (under a box!) and... More

Great location. Simple but clean and adequate rooms. Fab food and plenty of it. Generous help-yourself tea and biscuits/cakes. Kind of alternative and comfortably shambolic atmosphere. No one really sure what's available or going on - but that's pretty endearing. Only complaint would be the absolute enormity of the cobweb collection in the yoga studio - which is a bit... More

Our host, Nigel, opened his home to us off season. He made us feel so welcome. He had an indoor heated swimming pool which we totally enjoyed. The accommodations were fantastic with lovely bedrooms with bathroom attached and the beds and comforters were so comfortable. There were cushions on the window seats where we could sit and look at the... More

We stayed here the night before an epic cycle ride from Lands End to John O Groats. Sadly we didnt have time to use the facilities, the pool or the yoga studio that I didn't know was there! We were late booking in but were welcomed and shown our room and where breakfast would be. We wouldn't get hot breakfast... More

I have just returned from Boswedden House after taking a walking group for four days in this beautiful part of Cornwall. I whole heartedly recommend Boswedden House for the friendliness and kind generosity of Thelma and Nigel. Everyone in the group enjoyed their stay with no complaints about the accommodation. We were provided with a 'home from home' type comfort,... More
