Arriving on a Sunday afternoon we were surprised, and slightly worried by the traffic on the narrow road along which the house and the farm are situated. By the evening however all Sunday day-trippers had gone and we were impressed by the silence and peace that surrounded the hamlet. Apparently the entire region is looking for a solution of too much tourism. A delicate balance.

The host is very helpful. Visiting during covid-19 restrictions he helped us find a (very good) restaurant that was willing to offer take out service, even on one of their regular closing days.

The tips for entertainment also are a great help. The map they provided us with was accurate and the signs on the trail clear and correct.

We stayed in an apartment on the farm, where 2 more units are being outfitted. Covid regulations (again) made it impossible to have breakfast served in the house. Geert-Jan brought it every morning and placed a cool box and bags in front of the door. It gave us the possibility to savour it in bathrobes, slowly, cocooning. Leftovers (the offering is large) more than enough for lunch.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a large bedroom with sofa (and tv, which we do not watch), and a great bathroom, with both a bath and a shower !
For the moment it is lacking a garden such as the one that gets such favourable descriptions in other reviews, but it is a work in progress. There are plans for removing tarmac poured by previous owners, turning the courtyard into a regular garden, and altering a wall in order to grow a vertical garden as well.

Several other plans exist. We wish the Heren a lot of energy to complete them and hope to return to appreciate the efforts.

Brillant B&B in a beautiful area. Hosts go the full lenght to please the guests and make them feel comfortable. The eye for detail is striking. The way the breakfast is served. is a piece of art in it self.
Everything is simply TOP.

We spent 2 nights in this very beautiful converted farmhouse with wonderful hosts, who made us feel at home immediately. The whole B&B has been very tastefully designed and is of a very high quality and functionality. Having your own, separate, well-equipped, kitchen, was also very handy.

The B&B is located in a beautiful valley away from all crowds (apart from lots of cyclists passing on the road), so you definitely need a car (or bike, I suppose) to get here. Nature is simply stunning, with lots of birds and wild animals around.

And the best thing of all... the breakfast... a very yummmy indulgence!

We'll be back!

I booked a room in this b&b to attend the 2021 F1 Grand Prix. I did this as soon as the race was announced. I used booking.com and all went fine. Within minutes I received the confirmation. Yet, in the following days the stalking started. The b&b wanted to cancel the reservation (or insisted on extending the stay). I made my point that the booking suited my needs and that I wanted to keep the contract as is. This did not help. I got recontacted every day. And now just I received a unilateral cancelation. To me it’s clear what’s happening. Rooms in the area are rented out for multiples during the Grand Prix weekend. And the owners wanted to get out of my less lucrative booking. Of course no compensation for unilaterally breaking the contract was proposed. A very disappointing and legally questionable experience.

What a great B&B in the Ardenne. A fantastic view and the breakfast which Geert-Jan made was so wonderfully presented and delicious. Each morning something different. And to relax in the jaccuzzi late afternoon with those views, was heaven. We will be back

Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised - a perfect balance, no fuss full service, thoughtful, appropriate, attention to detail, with all the peace and quiet you need, feel like you are in your own little world! Beautiful setting on a valley hillside, plenty of outdoor activities in surrounding area, and great food near by; amazing breakfast (colour coordinated:)), bikes to rent, jacuzzi under the stars, walking and biking tracks within a short distance, sheep in the garden, deer darting across the lawn in the early hours, stream at the bottom of the garden, idyllic...

Artsy, very comfortable B&B in a beautiful surrounding with great views. The hosts are incredible hospitable and serve the best and most classy breakfast you can imagine. Stayed there with three friends twice for a mountain bike weekend. The bike trail literally starts at the doorstep and the environment is both beautiful and challenging with a lot of variety. So when you are looking at an active weekend out in a luxurious setting I would certainly recommend this place!

De Heren van Sfeer B&B is located in beautiful and peaceful hills in Stoumont.

The accommodation is to a stunning high standard, thanks to the hard work of Geert-Jan. It is almost a self-contained annex of the building, comprising of a lovely large bedroom, great bathroom (shower was great), and a reasonably sized guest-kitchen and eating area (kitchen contained electric hobs, microwave, some cooking utensils, plates, glasses, fridge...etc.).

The house sits in beautiful countryside, on a quiet road. Views are stunning looking down the valley. Very comfy outdoor furniture, and a Jacuzzi to relax and sip wine in the evenings :-)

As for the breakfast, it was certainly plentiful 'continental' breakfast. Depending on the weather, either served on the patio or inside the house. Consisted of local cheeses, pates, meats, plenty of gorgeous breads, croissants, pain-aux-chocs. Fresh fruit, melon and yogurt, and finished off with some egg-based dish (we had omelettes, poached egg, boiled egg...etc different one each day). Such high quality, beautifully presented, made it really special.

The hosts were also great. Geert-Jan is an artist by trade, and you can tell by the house design, food, and style of the property.

Overall, I would highly recommend to any couple wishing for a few days away, somewhere special
