Spent a weekend here with my boyfriend, his parents and sister and her boyfriend. The rooms were really nice, the two of us got a room in what seemed to be a newer part of the hotell, but were build in an older cozy style. The other two couples got rooms in the older part right next to each other.... More

Recently stayed for four nights at this unique hotel where all rooms are different. I requested a quite room and this is what I received with the bonus of a splendid view of the church and over the town. Free coffee and biscuits in the lovely lounge. Nice wholesome fresh breakfast. All the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The... More

We spent one night here on our way to Trondheim and found this hotel to be the nicest on our two week trip - and we stayed in many very nice hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large by Norwegian standards and uniquely decorated - my brother and sister-in-law stayed in the same place so... More

It was very refreshing staying at a hotel that is not part of one of the big hotel chains where all rooms look the same and the food taste the same. The hotel has a nice mix of the old and charming and the new. The breakfast was excellent. Not the same selection as you´d expect at a bigger hotel,... More

Erzscheidergarden belongs to Historical Hotels, have never had any bad experiences with this group. The receptionist could teach other hotel people a thing or two about service, VERY helpful in an informal way. The room was small but with a great view of Røros church. The breakfast was worth the stay in itself. Great location. Highly recommended.

The staff is excellent, the lobby is very cute and free cookies and coffee are offered(excelent home made cookies). The breakfast is very good and special with home made stuff. I didn't liked the fact that our room had a view over the cemetery, not too nice but we didn't stay in the room during the day.

Tucked away in a rather remote and ostensibly bleak (but beautiful) corner of Norway, this is a comfy, welcoming family run Hotel. I had a spacious suite overlooking the cemetery (not too scary). Completely comfortable in a beautiful former mining town which must have once been a rather forbidding spot. As in most such places in Norway, there is actually... More

Lovely and friendly place with nice view over the town. The service was excellent. Tasty local food specialties are being served for breakfast and lunch/ dinner. Near to all intresting spots in the heart of Röros. Just couple of minutes walk to beautiful Röros Church where we attended our friends wedding ceremony.

This hotel is really a small B&B--which is very good by all accounts. It sits close to the historic "Slag heaps" of the abandoned Roros mines. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Nice sitting room with fireplace and interesting books, free coffee and afternoon treats. Unfortunately, we were less than impressed with the "special"... More
