We were on a road trip around East Cape and booked ahead to get the cottage accommodation for the four of us. We figured it was going to be a good place to stay when we turned off and had to cross a ford across a small stream. Settled in to the cottage - it's quite big and has everything...

In our short trip this was the right place to enjoy nature and peace. The short walk to Morera Hot Springs makes this place unique! Very nice and friendly environment was so relaxing that we wanted to stay in this place a little more. Cabins are very comfortable with a nice view of the surroundings. Homemade pizza was so delicious,...

The cottages at Morere Hot Springs Lodge are huge and absolutely authentic. The food is delicious and the ducks, chickens, sheep and goats add to the country side experience. Our hosts were a delight to deal with and made us feel welcomed from the minute we drove it. Perfect from start to finish!

The older style two-bedroom cottage was clean and comfortable, in a peaceful rural setting with stream and farm amimals, and close to hot pools. A good stopping point south of Gisborne and we would happily return.

We stumbled upon this lodge while exploring the east coast. Was the perfect place for us, 3 adults and 2 children (1yr + 2yr). The kids had so much fun exploring the farm, following the animals. We went and saw the glow worms once the sun had disappeared. Had pizza for dinner, the place was great and the hosts Paul...

This is a fantastic place to relax. Paul and Julie are amazing hosts and Julies home made pizzas are mouthwatering. The rooms are clean and have lovely decks to sit on and enjoy the bird life. There were lots of animals to interact with. Friendly sheep, Goats and ducklings. It is only a short walk away from the Morere Hot...

Had a great stay here with our two young kids. Hosts Julie and Paul were welcoming and friendly. The kids especially got a thrill out of helping feed the ducks in the morning and getting shown all the animals. We stayed in the two-bedroom cottage which was clean and tidy with good facilities to cook with. We also ordered one...

This was the first time we'd got two nights in a row to ourselves since becoming parents (three years ago) and the location and hosts were just what we needed. Lovely surroundings, friendly animals (we fed three day old ducklings on the river!), easy access to the hot pools and beautiful short walks. Highly recommend it for a couples get...

Awesome, homely cottage. Very clean and most comfortable bed we've had for a while, could have stayed longer. Was made to feel very welcome by Paul. Loved the glow worms and the Hot Springs across the road. Will definitely be back.
