We have just had a wonderful 8 nights at The Wold Cottage in the main farmhouse on B&B terms. We cannot recommend highly enough - everything is so quiet and relaxing - it's the sort of place where you feel really at home. Indeed we have visited many times over the years! Beds very comfortable with lovely cotton linen. Breakfasts... More

First visit to Wold Cottage and certainly won't be the last. What can I say? Fabulous from start to finish. Outstanding cottage and grounds and cleanliness that isn't dound very often. Beautiful setting and location with superb quality furnishings etc. Derek and Katrina have created something very spectacular indeed. Stayed here beginning of June when visiting friends. Thought it would just be a place to stay but was so pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation. It is a beautiful old Yorkshire farmhouse, very comfortable and welcoming. The room was large, well furnished and had a gorgeous bathroom. Enormous bed with sumptuous bedding. Breakfast served in the formal dining room. Fantastic... More

Four of us stayed for two nights. Both rooms were delightful, we got the room with the amazing wet room bathroom but both were perfect. We ate out on night one and were taxied both ways by the brilliant host, for a donation to the charity box. We ate in on night two, a delicious home cooked meal. Special Filey... More

Stayed with three other friends on a Garden visiting trip. We had self contained accommodation which was perfect for the four of us. Katrina welcomed us warmly with a cup of tea and cake after showing us around the spotless accommodation. No request was too much trouble for Katrina and Derek. Katrina reccommended two lovely places nearby for our evening... More

We found this place on TripAdvisor as a well-rated, reasonably-priced, convenient location between Bridlington and York (since we were visiting family in both places). We were delighted with our choice! First impressions were amazing as we approached the main house via the long elegant driveway and well maintained grounds / gardens. Our "Major Topham" room in the main house was... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last week and we were delighted with everything. Such a warm welcome from Katrina and Derek with tea and cake in the beautiful garden - yes the sun shone on us for our stay in The Wolds in this wet and gloomy June!! We loved our room in the courtyard, so spacious, comfortable and peaceful.... More
