Had a fabulous night here for our wedding anniversary 10th Sept 2016; the food is great, and you certainly get a plate full, no chance of going home hungry! The room was really nice and breakfast was out of this world, no shortage of anything. Service, staff and accommodation 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend a visit. Thanks for a... More

15 people had Sunday lunch, the mash potato was instant smash, and the roast potatoes were par boiled then deep fried,,instead of roasted!!!! and still hard in the middle, when my desert arrived it had a hair on the plate. had heard so much about the 'wonderful' food here I was sorely disappointed. the service too was extremely slow. 12... Today I had the best lunch out that I can ever remember. Staff very efficient and friendly and the food was superb, what more can I say. The menu was extensive, lots of choice for all courses, very well cooked and presented.

Love this place and especially the cheesecake so made a booking for Sunday lunch unfortunately we had booked the wrong Triton this wasn't a problem to Lance who straight away rang the other Triton to cancel that booking and despite being fully booked with 50 guests from a wedding the previous day they found us a table. Happy with that... More

We stayed for 2 nights,as relatives were holding their Silver Wedding party here Sat lunchtime - so super convenient - lovely room - not huge, but that is an Inn accommodation - however, lovely large bathroom - all very well equipped - everything you could want - kettle with teas, coffees, milk - nice biscuits - then toiletries - fluffy... We visit the Triton fairly regularly, especially on Sundays in summer. We believe that the food is of exceptionally good quality for the price. The Sunday roasts are fabulous. A good selection of tasty starters and delicious desserts are available too, but we usually only manage two courses and we're stuffed. The staff are excellent. Very attentive, but not in... More

A dreadful steak that was just full of gristle. I don't like to complain, but when I did I was offered a complementary coffee! What a cheek and not even a goodbye when we left! It ruined my birthday treat. A big thumbs down for a very unwelcoming pub.

Popped in for a treat (be-lated anniversary). Arrived and got a table at 12.10, but the rest soon filled up. Warm and friendly welcome, with good food. I had the steak and ale pie and my wife had gammon and we both left stuffed! Would recommend if you are on the area.

the Triton inn has good accommodation and great food and very friendly staff. The bar is well stoked and the location is very rural. you will need a car but it is well located to visit many towns. well worth a stay.

Turned up at 11.55am to be greeted by a man shouting across the car park at me 'WE DONT OPEN TIL 12!!' ... as he sat outside drinking a pint and smoking. I was enquiring about booking an afternoon meal later in the week for about 25 people. He seemed reluctant to move, got a long list of things the... More

You did in fact arrive at 11.35 not 11.55 , as for the man drinking a pint , he is tea total! You were helped and both the owner and the head chef tried to accommodate you but basically you wanted Sunday lunch at 11.30 on a weekday when we were already fully booked for that lunchtime AND you wanted...
