This is a pleasant overnight stop on the Camino, and I was pleased I walked (a short distance) through Frómista to stay here. The room was clean and bright and new, I utilized the tub (for two glorious hours!) and the food was truly the best pilgrim meal I've enjoyed so far. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel and Alburgue. Wonderful staff, particularly Carmen! Friendly, helpful, plentiful food and drink. Calm and quaint facilities, clean. Very affordable. Well worth it en Campos. Throughly enjoyed it and would certainly stay again.

From the second I stepped in the front door I felt welcomed into this hotel/bed-and-breakfast. Carmen and Adama were so friendly, welcoming and professional. Despite their limited English (and my limited Spanish), communication was no issue. The rooms were fantastic, clean and inviting. The bathtub was exactly what I needed after long days walking the Camino!! The common areas, lounge,... More

We walked the Camino staying in 1-star or 2-star places like this. Of all the places we stayed this couple and her mom were the happiest, friendliest and most generous! After answering all our questions, helping us plan our next few nights, feeding us and cleaning up after us, they were STILL clearly happy to welcome us into their home.... More

Very conveniently located off the main motorway from Santander. It's a very homely, spotlessly clean hostal type accommodation. Two kindly and welcoming sisters make a grand job of making sure that their guests are comfortable and well fed on their homely fayre. Great value for money dinner and a bottle of wine for 10euros, breakfast was typical toast, juice and... More

The two lovely women who run the Amanecer are so welcoming. The rooms are great and the paella dinner is fantastic. If your finances lean to a lower accommodation budget stay next door in the basic albergue, but go to the hotel for the pilgrim meal.

Booked a room on 2/8/15 for 15/1/16 confirmed with paper print out. Arrived at hostel at 2200 on 15/1/16. Hostel closed until February. Spoke to owner who apologised but could not help with alternative. After trying two other hotels in the nearest town obtained a room at 2330, lucky? Be very careful when using this hostel, which appeared to be... More

I was on the Camino in May 2013 (briefly for 8 days) and again in September-October 2015 (then for 38 days). I stayed at this delightful casa rural on both Caminos. Each time I felt so welcomed, and was provided delicious food and a wonderful space (room, garden) to rest and relax. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. Carmen... More

At 20EU, this little hotel was a welcome respite with its clean private rooms, crisp white sheets and fluffy towels, and free wifi. For an additional 9EU, they offered a very good communal dinner. Breakfast wasn't available until 8, but there is a bar one street over which was open at 6, offering fresh pastries, fresh orange juice and coffee.

The place is great really but be very careful when you pay. Ask for a receipt. I had to pay twice just to avoid being thrown out! Carmen, the manager, completely forgot that I had already paid and insisted I pay again which I eventually did just to be kind to her. This may have been a genuine oversight on... More
