This is a good place to relax and enjoy a full traditional Norwegian buffet lunch in a spacious old fashioned dining room with fine views over the lake. It is also close to the spectacular Steindalfossen water fall

We stayed here only 1 night whilst driving from Flam back to Bergen choosing a different route than what we had driven to on the way to Flam. The hotel is located right on the end of scenic Hardangerfjord. We were located in the new wing of the hotel which is very modern and contemporary. Free parking onsite along with...

I must confess we chose to stay in Northeimsund only because of its location en route to Bergen. We were very pleasantly surprised by both the very pleasant town and the hotel. Our hotel room in the extension to the historic hotel--which was really more like a suite with a separate water-view bedroom and a spacious sitting area--was starkly contemporary....

Had a delightful and delicious buffet lunch at this picturesque hotel on the beautiful fjord and would like to return for a longer visit. We were lucky in that we visited on a picture perfect day which enhanced our enjoyment of both the hotel and the lunch

This is a busy business type of hotel and as far as room, service, breakfirst and location there is absolutely nothing to complain about,- nice scandinavian quality and a fair price. However,- i do hope the regular cook was off,- becauce a medium rare entrecote is not well-done,- and to smash it on top of a layer of spinach/mushrooms, fill...

Wonderful experiences await you at this hotel. It is historic and right on the beautiful fjord. There is cafes nearby and a small historic museum ( outdoor). My room was on the first floor and I jsut used the stairs to get to my room. Some friends had a fabulous room with a balcony overlooking the fjord.

This hotel was originally built in 1857, but it has recently been fixed up by the Norwegian Hotel Chain Thon. The historic rooms are beautiful, including the big dining room. I stayed in one of the modern rooms, which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I was also lucky and got a room with a view to the fjord, which...

Stayed for 1 night & thoroughly enjoy the stay. Staff were polite & friendly, rooms were well appointed and clean. Only downside was that the food prices were a bit expensive and the local restaurants were shut. Apart from that, would stay there again.

This hotel was the best of all the hotels that we stayed at in our recent visit to Norway. We stayed in the new wing which was completed in 2014 so it had a freshness to it. It had a pull down luggage rack, elegant wood interiors, and a shower that did not get water all over the floor. The...

Very nice hotel. Nice view on waterfront . Good dinner and breakfast buffet. Fresh bread. One of the few hotels in Norway with air conditionaing (since AC is almost never needed in Norway.) Very quiet and comfortable room. Nice staff. Near shops, museums, and ferry.
