We stayed for 3 nights and the junior suite was spacious but need a full size mirror specially to see how you look before going out. It is important. Anointing with the housekeeping services who started knocking on the door at 10:00 am even do we had “do not disturbed “ Sign on??? I was not impressed with breakfast, a la carte but not enough selection in the menu, it was included in the price, prefer to pay instead and have good breakfast. At night We had dinner and the food was excellent at that time. Transportation could be a challenge specially when you have to wait on the gate to get in, we wait for about 30 min. Inquired for the price in the regular suites and it is pricey when you look spending $1000 a nite???? No even in Europe you find 5 stars exclusive hotels for 1/2 of that price. this hotel is located in Ruitoque Condominium, The most amazing, gorgeous and hospitality place that ever be in Colombia, They have a coffee shop, a delicious buffet in the morning for breakfast , bar and Italian restaurant where they have a Pizza all you can eat on Tuesday's. The golf Course is one of the best and the caddis are so nice and helpful, then we had a 6 hours treatment in the Spa it was the most amazing and relaxing experience included lunch, massage, facial and hydrotherapy.

This resort is brand new, meaning the maintenance people were installing decorative lighting in the lobby as I was typing this review. With this in mind, some of the amenities are not yet open, but they have a lot of amenities. The rooms are very comfortable! The resort is located in an upscale gated community, surrounded by nature and mansions. Great area for morning runs. You can get a mani+pedi for $9.00 US dollars! A full 1hr body massage for $30.00. Very reasonable, specially for a 5 star resort. When you check in you get a tablet that controls everything in your room including recessed lighting, AC, TV in the bedroom and bathroom and, etc. You don't have to get up once you lay down on your bed. The drinks and snacks in the mini bar are complimentary. There is a bank and grocery store across the street and also a couple of restaurants. The resort has a few restaurants, coffee shop and a wine bar. We had lunch at the resort's Italian restaurant today, which did not serve Italian food for lunch...but the food was ok. I would go back to that restaurant but there are many others to try here. The hotel is not within walking distance to the center, you will need to take a cab. This is a safe and quiet resort where you can relax, play golf, lay by the pool and enjoy the view but about 20 min. from the city. Great resort for a company retreat or simply to get away from the city traffic. If you would prefer the excitement and busy streets of the city, and be able to walk everywhere, this is not the place for you. The only negative remark I have is that the gate security guards take their time entering your ID information into a computer every single time you enter the resort, it is a bit annoying.

The English translation has many inaccuracies. The description of the food in their menus doesn’t include ALL the ingredients and for people like me with “intolerance to some food items or seasonings”. That’s crucial. But Punta Diamante lacks the responsibility or understanding of it. With that said, we both became ill after eating their seafood. The Spa experience is like a “Production Line” of people coming in and out, very crowded even though It is “By Appointment Only”. Added to the fact that The hotel advertises “Turkish Bath” PUNTA DIAMANTE does NOT have “Turkish Bath” what they have is “Steam Bath”- also the staff at the spa is NOT FRIENDLY or attentive at all. While the bellman/concierge was very nice, polite and attentive to meet our needs, the female receptionist was unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. At this price range, we expected the hotel to have drinkable water available at least at/by the lobby. upon arriving we had to go to a grocery store across the street to buy bottled water (not too eco friendly). This is a very expensive hotel NOT WORTH the money.

Food: Causa fusión, a great entrance, then Octopus on the grill, delicious and not so guilty. Service: Good enough Place: really pleasant, with a breathtaking view, perfect for a lovely evening. 5 of us dined at this restaurant within the Punta Diamente Resort. we enjoyed the nice ambience, live music and service provided. the food served was average. to access this Hotel premise, we must bring our passports or photo IDs for security check at the gate. be prepared to wait for at less 30 minutes. we were stopped at the exit for security again. allow extra time for this procedure.

My wife and I got married there. It didn’t quite rate 5 stars but I was a nice place to stay. Clean rooms, good food and great views. This place is in the hills over looking the city. Wonderful views.
The staff was very friendly.

I reached my 4 star rating based on the incredible value for what you receive at this hotel - it is by no means one of the nicest we've stayed at and I wouldn't label it a resort, but it was very nice considering the inexpensive price paid. We had two connecting rooms and the rate included full breakfast and stocked mini-bar. We picked it because we were going to a family event at a private home in Ruitoque. I would not stay here if you will be principally in Bucaramanga (would prefer the Campestre in that case). We thought the decor was on the verge of questionable taste, but on the other hand, the big overhead shower, the independent tub, the separate toilet, the nice linens, the helpful staff, and all for a very low price made for a good stay. The pool is just off the breakfast area - it's fairly small and not very special and our children (who are swimming pool fanatics) were oddly uninterested in taking a dip. Breakfast staff was friendly and efficient and the buffet was ok. I think this is a good bet if you will be traveling to Ruitoque but I would not go out of my way to travel here just for the hotel.
