Atholwood has lovely, private, high quality, very well appointed one bedroom suites with balcony overlooking the lake and mountains near Abel Tasman National Park. It is quiet and nestled in manicured gardens with a swimming pool next to the lake. Parking is right in front of your suite....feels like home. Hosts, Sarah and Ian are interesting to talk with as...

The hotel is a relatively new development, in a quiet spot off the main road. The entrance is secluded and the front garden is a delight of both light and shade. The main block has two rooms, all self-contained, upstairs with lovely views of the bay and the mountains behind the town of Nelson. The rooms are light, airy and...

Sarah and Ian are the perfect hosts in this stunning B and B. We agree whole-heartedly with all the other 5* reviews as this was absolutely the best place we stayed in on the South Island of New Zealand, with the most outstanding views. Sarah and Ian's stunning B&B was our first stop on South Island on our New Zealand tour. After a warm welcome we were shown to a lovely room with balcony in the main house with just fabulous views across the water to the mountains beyond. The gardens are a delight. The room was a lovely size with all the necessary...

Our recent stay at Sarah & Ian's lovely accommodation was a highlight to our trip to NZ! They were most gracious and we enjoyed very lively and enlightening conversation at breakfast. My husband and I find that some of the best and lasting memories of our trips are the chats we share with the people in the communities. This lovely...

When you are trying to be the best or staying the best, details matter. And details are what are so apparent in this excellent B and B. From the gorgeous grounds and wonderfully appointed accomodations, this is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay on the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief two day visit here.
