This resort is blessed! The peace you find here can only be experienced. From all the staff who are kind and friendly. To the rooms which are wonderfully situated and maintained. Breakfast was yummy and all pastries where made fresh. It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing or diving with Blue Water Divers. We are hoping to visit again in a year or so and bring our friends to experience Bermuda and Willowbank Resort. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so memorable!

This was our first time traveling to Bermuda and during a pandemic. Stayed for 5 nights/6 days. The hotel sits on a beautiful side of the island with beautiful views and 2 private beaches that are great for swimming and snorkeling! Gina the manager and her staff were very helpful and welcoming. They made arrangements for taxi transport and had the room cleaned as requested.
Pros- The location, the beautiful bridge, snorkeling conditions, reasonably priced, the staff , and food by Chef Ron.

Cons- If you were expecting to have kayaks as pictured on the website readily available to you on the beach Or provided for you by the hotel, they are not. It is an independent company and a separate cost. Perhaps due to the pandemic,we stayed there and never saw a single person there to even rent one.

Transportation- this is just a recommendation and not the fault of the hotel, but so many reviews recommend getting a bus pass to move around the island. We purchased a three day pass upon checking in and no one informed us that the buses were on strike. My recommendation is that before you buy any passes make sure to inquire about the buses and if they are on strike or not.

Other than the bus transportation being a big disappointment, I would have to say the other one is the fact that I booked hotel via Expedia who advertised that continental breakfast was included in your stay. Much to our surprising disappointment, Gina the manager informed us that that was not the case. We met another family from PA who also booked via Expedia and also were under the same impression. Thankfully, there is a market nearby and there’s a refrigerator and microwave in your room.

We stayed at Willowbank for four nights in late June, and found it to be a very peaceful, restful, quiet resort with an amazing location while the staff exceeded our expectations.

With that said, here are some additional thoughts. The property is up on a hill and there are many challenging paths to transverse for two 70 year olds like us to walk to get to the dining area, pool and beaches. This may not be a concern to some however it was for us.

Room…. We had a remodeled room with a spectacular view of the water, which included a nice patio. All areas have amazing views of the water. The room was clean and comfortable. I would add that when we were taken to our room I was concerned because that area outside the door had no grass and looked a bit rundown however the room made up for it.

Dining… included was a continental breakfast which was nice however was not too vast. Included was bread for toast, small muffins and danish, yogurt and some fresh fruit. Lots of carbs however you can order a la cart for additional charge. It would have been nice to have a hard boiled egg or cereal added. Can dine inside or out and outside dining offers spectacular views.

We had dinner there once and it was ok but soup was real salty

Pool and Beaches… as mentioned if you wish to go to either of these places, you have to walk down steep hills and back up them to go to your room. There are two beaches, one very small that has beach chairs, and a couple umbrellas and the second one is larger with beach chairs, also available for free

The pool again is a walk and is not very resort like but it is fine with not a lot going on around it. I will add that while my wife was in the pool someone was walking their dog and the dog jumped in the pool with her. She got out questioned whether or not pets were allowed at Willowbank.

There is nothing really around off property that you’ll have to take a cab to which are very expensive or you can take the bus which is right outside the front gate which we did quite a number of times.

You can purchase the token for the bus or the ferry inside The office at Willowbank and they are quite safe, air condition and the people are extremely nice.

In closing, we enjoyed our stay at Willowbank. It is very peaceful, and not a lot of action going on. The terrain was difficult for us. but it may not be for you,

And again the people there were so helpful, friendly, and amazing and we would go back again

BTW….There are tennis courts next to the pool, but there are no nets up and they were look like in the process of trying to repaint the lines and remodel or redo them.

Our Family spent 10 days at the Willowbank Resort and I can't say how happy I am about our choice. My whole family was able to affordably stay at an oceanside resort in Bermuda that included comfortable beds, sandy beach and an excellent hot breakfast. Since we were there for a Destination Wedding the facility was perfect and everything we needed was available Danyell, Gina, Ron and staff made us feel very special.

Wow what a view. Warm winds and amazing sunsets and lovely staff and people. Willowbank is an amazing friendly resort perched on the ocean with two beaches and a lovely pool. The staff are fantastic with good selection breakfast always served with a smiling face. Weve been blown away by bermuda. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. They are cleaned everyday and we had no issues with damp so dont worry about previous reviews. Fridge and microwave in room to make life easier. Bermuda is expensive for food and drinks. So we brought some with us *wine n snacks and also had dine around package eating in amazing restaurants so well worth the extra cash before you travel. We used taxis for longer trips and the local buses which were exceptional. The three or five day tickets were essential. Loved our friendly taxi drivers. Crystal caves were great and dolphin quest was out of this world. Willowbank we will be back but we loved off season.

Location, location, location!! The is a beautiful quiet property with 2 great beaches. It is close to Dockyard where there are lots of shops and restaurants with lots of boat excursions to choose from. They have updated the large lounge, afternoon tea area as well as the gym and the dining room which also has a large space to eat outdoors overlooking the ocean. The pool area is new and very clean, as is the entire resort property. We had an Ocean Front room which had almost everything we needed and was very clean. It would have been nice to have a small coffee/tea maker in the room to enjoy a quiet moment on our little porch. (although there is tea and coffee in the lobby/lounge area 24 hours). The tiny little bars of soap provided seem to “melt” very quickly so you will have to ask for many more! The rooms do not have a SAFE, which is really important for international travelers. They currently only serve wine and beer but are trying to get a full liquor license. The rooms (ours anyway - in the Morning Glory Building) need a bit of TLC but otherwise very comfortable. It is a well-kept secret but should not be! Don’t be put off by the religious blurb on their website (as we were at first) as they have rebranded as a family friendly resort for all (maybe they should think about removing the religious blurb from their website) Oh, and the food (hot breakfast and lunch) was very delicious and well presented. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Willowbank is a gem in beautiful Bermuda! I had the opportunity to spend an extended weekend there in January 2023 and it is one of the most peaceful properties I’ve ever stayed on, with stunning views and excellent service. We had a breakfast event there for our organization and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went well and the food was delicious. Willowbank is family, corporate and solo-traveler friendly with comfortable rooms, a friendly team and gorgeous sunsets. You won’t be disappointed!

I had stayed at Willowbank in 1969 as a teenager and wanted to take my wife there at some point, and so it was my first choice for celebrating our 50th anniversary. I was thrilled that it was still there after all those years and it hadn't lost it's charm. In fact it has grown and provides a lot for anyone: couples, family, groups, etc. It is also a conference centre as well, and does weddings and other events. A hurricane had come by a few weeks or so earlier (but no damage as it only slightly grazed the island) and so the number of visitors was down from usual so we felt like it was a very special, quiet place for us to enjoy. Comparatively, Bermuda is an expensive place to visit (and live) but we felt it was well worth the price. Since the number of guests was down they automatically upgraded our accommodations to one of the nicest ones available and we loved it. The ocean and sunset views straight out of our unit were simply spectacular. The food was excellent in their restaurant/dining room. They have their own beautiful beach in the cove and we enjoyed many lovely quiet hours there. Among all of the beauties and amenities perhaps the most striking aspect of Willowbank is the management and staff. What wonderful people. I can't say enough about how nice they all are! Bermudians are warm lovely people and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Willowbank and on the island.

This is the Bermudian equivalent of a Motel 8. No furniture to sit outside your room. Door did not shut properly, felt like someone could knock hard and break the lock. When I asked the front desk a question about the outlets, she was rude and interrupted me before I could even finish the question. The food is ridiculously overpriced when there are better and cheaper restaurants down the road. Other than an nice view for the sunset, you can skip this place entirely!

I would never again stay at this hotel. There were a few good points — a lovely view and small private beach, adequate room, reasonable price. Here are the bad points: terrible, inefficient service, lousy, overpriced food, inconvenient location, request for fixing of bathroom drain over 4 days and nothing happened. Wine and beer made available a few days before we arrived — no bottles, only glasses.I would never recommend this hotel.

Thank you for your question. The Bermuda law states that persons cannot smoke in any enclosed public space. This will include hotels (guest room, restaurants, lobbies, any interior space where the public patronizes). However guests can smoke on their balconies, terraces and outdoor spaces, like the beaches. Please be aware that most hotels in Bermuda have strict non smoking policies and if found to be smoking inside the rooms, hotels charge guests a high fee to make the room free from any smoking smell (deep cleaning all fabrics) for future guest use. Exit the property, stay on the same side of the road and it is no more than 1.5 city blocks. That side of the street takes you to Hamilton. If you exit the property and cross the road, it is maybe 1/2 city block. That side of the street takes you to the Royal Navy Dock.
