We stayed in Archway for 5 nights with our Mothers, both in their 90s. The cottage was ideal for us as it is all on one level and has a bathroom adapted to make life easier for the less mobile. The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and warm. The weather was pretty miserable but some time was spent fishing...

A beautiful setting, high quality accommodation, freedom to explore the grounds. A perfect English break. A fantastic small cafe has just opened opposite for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea (I think closes then) called Hetty's. So if you don't feel like cooking there is a great alternative.

Excellent, brilliant, fantastic, need I say any more. Alison &a Clive made us feel so welcome, the cottages are all amazing, perfect for a countryside retreat with everything in them for a comfortable stay, logs all ready to burn, ends made up, and all the individual attention to detail is superb. The lake, the BBQ, the courtyard, the fields are...

We have spent four Easters at Foxtwood as an extended family and the layout and amenities suit us perfectly. Each year we find different outings for the family. (The owners supply visitors with ample ideas and information.) We use one of the lounges for family gatherings, but also have our own units for privacy when we need it.

A large house segregated into mini houses superbly appointed. You have the canal on one side and their small lake on the other. They are dog friendly. The facilities are good with TV WIFI and sheets and towels. There are no meters as power is included. There is a tea shop over the road and a pub nearby. Go you...

Thank you for your lovely review, it is great now having the tea shop over the road but I do fear for my waistline- their scones are far too moreish! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay

Family trip for a weekend away in the heart of Staffordshire, away from the business of town. We enjoyed quality time in the warmth of Seventh Heaven and Bottom Cottage. The scenic suroundings provided a relaxing setting (the lake and canal a few steps away, and the steam train railway nearby), whilst the warmth of the cottages with underfloor heating...

Hello Thank you for your kind comments, I'm glad your family get together and meal worked out well. We too feel very fortunate to have such a good butcher close by and are looking forward to the tea house opening across the road on the canal side.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beautiful countryside setting, facing the canal on one side and our lake on the other. The relaxed atmosphere here envelops and calms, leaving you refreshed and invigorated. Children and adults alike can enjoy that old fashioned luxury of freedom, just to potter about or explore our woods and grounds, build a damn in the stream, watch the birds and butterflies, and listen to the occasional whistle from the steam train running in the valley. ... more   less
