We stayed at the Hermitage working farm hotel on the bank holiday weekend at the end of August 2015. It is am amazing place to stay. Our girls loved it. We booked it because we were doing a two day visit to Alton Towers. On the day we arrived we went around the farm and saw the chickens and the... More

Just stayed at this farm for the first time. I can't praise it highly enough, close to Alton Towers, festival park and 30 minutes drive to stoke for shops. We have been here a week now and I have to say I will come back. The location was fantastic so rural, the owner Frank and his son and staff were... More

Stayed one night. Lovely room. Central location for several nearby attractions. I can honestly say the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a bed and breakfast (choice amazing - and you could have as much (or little) as you want). Highly recommended if anyone is visiting this area.

Stayed here with family last year whilst on holiday. Brilliant experience, beautiful location. Really loved the 'homely' feel to the rooms. Really great fresh breakfast too! They were very welcoming. The old farm dog is also so friendly!

This is the fourth time we have stayed here. It is nice and quiet, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. This time we have the end cottage complete with our own guard dog at the door. Poor dog - seems to be tied up all day long with nothing to occupy it, however never heard it bark.

Stayed the night of the 27th/28th June a) due to its proximity to the Churnet Valley Railway, which I have reviewed elsewhere and b) because it seemed to fit my purpose, which it did. The accommodation is separate to the farm and seems to consist of three sets of rooms with their own entrance door and a patio at the... More

This is the second time that I have stayed at Hermitage Working Farm with my girlfriend on one of our trips to Alton Towers. The location is ideal for Alton Towers, about 10 minutes drive from the park itself. The Farm itself is set in the middle of the country side, and is very quiet. There is a pub nearby... More

Lovely accommodation, comfortable bed, nice and clean and excellent breakfast. However I did have a problem with the beautiful dog, Sam, being tied to a chain. He was a gorgeous boy, well behaved, never barked loved fuss and looked sad. Not much point having a dog if it is going to be tied up all day. Can't give 'excellent' becuase... More
