We visited Hotel 77 for few days in April 2013. From the verybeggining we were suprised with an extreme hospitality of people working in a hotel. As we traveled with 6 weeks old baby, they treated us with extracare. Room was ready fir the baby, and they kept helping us with making our stay comfortable. I.e when we could not leave a baby, they helped us with delivering food to our room, moved time of booked spa, etc. Everyone was always smiling, helpful abd relaxed. What I appreciate a lot was the caffeine-free coffee. I cannot drink regular one. When they got to know about it, they bought coffee without caffeine, so I could enjoy it while breakast or later. That was going beyong my expectations and I simply loved it. Apart from people, hotel is new, well equipped and elegant. Quite small, so cosy enough, and with great location. Food served while breafast and a la carte, worth recommendation. You can use jacuzzi, saunas and you can also have a good massage there. Overall, I recommend this hotel for families, as well as for couples or single travellers. We will feel welcome there for sure.

First what you need ot know is that hotel choice in Chalupy is extremely limited. This place is known for excellent camping sites so if you prefer to stay in a hotel 77 has not much competition. it is at the the end of the village across the street from the bay. 77 is fairly small but clean and modern. rooms are nice and comfortable but on the small side. Could be bit more spacy. Bathroom was very nice with a skylite; however, a nice toiletries would be a plus. Our room had a balcony and windows at the back of the hotel where train tracks are so that was a bit annoying because we could hear the passing trains all the time. Wifi was free and it worked well. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. We literally couldn't wait for breakfast every day it was so good and diverse. The restaurant in general had good foor; however, the customer service in the restaurant could be a little better. Particularly there was one server that wasn't very nice. the front desk people were great and very helpful. Also the spa area with the whirlpool, sauna and hamam were fantastic and very relaxing. We also got massagges but those werent spectacular. Over all nice place to stay!

We stayed at the hotel for one night and in an off season and not in the best of weather. Yet, we found peace, great location, amazing food and relaxed and casual atmosphere that is so hard to find these days. Hotel is located slightly away from any real agglomeration and on a very narrow part of the Hel isthmus (200m) - which adds to the charm. On one side you get a great view of the bay and a little port - that's from the restaurant window. From a room window you get to see forest and a little bit of the Baltic sea. You are under a minute of walking distance from either one. Location charm aside, we found the hotel to be spotless clean and very well presented. We liked the kitchen area with a view onto the bay. We enjoyed the the classic marine style room that fitted perfectly with the natural surroundings. We had an hour in a private spa - so that was us only ... We had dinner at the restaurant and a breakfast - both, top quality food that included local specialities. Breakfast had the choices that we would have expected from a 5 star hotel, which was quite surprising. Finally, the crew made us feel welcomed with a good intro to facilities and how we can spend our time. Finding real, natural and peaceful beauty coupled with great accommodation is a rarity these days - hence, this shall be our choice again should we return to Hel. Thank you Hotel 77.

Let us start with the positives. The hotel has nice modern rooms although not very spacious, the hotel restaurant has a reasonable selection of tasty food... but there it ends. The staff is impolite and likely to ignore any complaints... if you insist on getting the basics... things really start to get rough. I stayed in the hotel with my wife and five year old son.

1. My wife got a cold during the stay - I went to the restaurant to bring her breakfast upstairs - I was told guests are not allowed to take food out of the restaurant. The hotel has only twelve rooms or so, so everyone was aware that my wife did not feel well. I cannot explain this kind of hostile behavior.

2. The rooms are not cleaned properly everyday. We have complained many times, but no one seems to bother vacuum cleaning the room everyday.

3. During our stay there was a general problem with the availability of hot water. It was there, but would disappear very often for no reason. The staff would try to give all kinds of excuses why this kept happening over and over again. I think the only reason for this is the hotel policy to save on hot water. After a few days of playing hit and miss with hot water we pressed the hotel reception to improve the situation and mentioned that we may not pay for the room if the situation persists and we asked to see the hotel owner. After this we left for an excursion. Upon our return in the evening we found the owner, his wife and two men from a security agency waiting for us. Our room with our belongings was closed - we could not enter it. We expected to have a conversation with the owner about service quality, but apparently he got so scared of a family with a five year old that he felt the need for support of the security guys. The conversation got very rough from his side and he started to use insults and abusive language - his wife joined in with the same. Seeing that we decided to pay for the nights spent and to leave immediately despite the late hour. Apparently the owner decided that the security guys were not enough - he called the police! The police was informed that we did not pay the bill - simply untrue! When they arrived they have taken notes from our IDs and the ID of the hotel owner - and after some useless discussion left - saying that if we want to file a complaint we should go to court. In addition to that.. the hotel owner being from Warsaw (we are from Warsaw as well) asked a friend of his to take pictures of our family house to show us that he knows where we live. His friend has sent these pictures by e-mail to the hotel. What a silly way to try to intimidate guests!!! You really have to be a psychopath to do it!!! Please avoid this hotel unless you like your adrenaline shooting up!!!

Dear all ... I would rather not start any discussion with the indignant guest, as it is clear that my and my staff’s view in this matter is completely different. I feel obliged to defend the hotel personnelwho demonstrated exceptional professionalism. From the very beginningthey tried to accommodate the woman and her son (the husband came to collect his wife on the last day of the stay) by providing all required services and despite frequent insults at their address. Unfortunately, some people have a shocking way to a free holiday, and when it proves unsuccessful, the Internet will take everything. Fortunately it is behind us now, and I wish myself and other Hotel Owners NO such guests! The Hotel 77 Owner Piotr Kowalewski

We stayed four night here with friends. Lovely staff, delicious food and breakfast spread, clean, comfortable rooms and well located. Views over the sea were nice and we enjoyed seeing the local area. We'd go back if we found ourselves in the area again.

the hotel is nice and quite, with a relaxing atmosphere,
rooms are large and bathroom was just the right size for us,
you get to rent a windbreak and lounger for the whole of stay,
members of staff kind and polite - good customer service,
everything well explained with a little tour on the first day,
spa nice and clean all to yourself (for1h),
food in restaurant delicious,
one of my special request was granted which made me extremely happy,

couple of things took that one dot away: wifi - horrid really bad connection,
where one day there was no internet what so ever,
when reported to reception we received an update and apologies so that was okay, maybe just unlucky 5 days where internet just did not want to pick up for us...

another down side was that one night there was some alarm failure,
I guessed that is a failure as there was nobody communicating anything with the guests it was at about 1am which woke us up, we walked around, had a little sniff, nothing smelled like burning so went back to bed, the following day there was no explanation or apologies which would be kind of nice, for waking the guests up...
but still not a big deal in comparison to all the good sides!

Stayed here for 4 nights and have no complaints. The staff were lovely and helpful, the room very comfortable and clean, breakfasts were sensational, and lunches and dinners exceptional. The meal credits that come with the room were very good value and made our stay very affordable. Location is good because its at the end of town and is quieter, bikes available to get around the place.

Just go there. It is a great place! Hotel looks and feels brand new. Rooms are fairly large. All equipped with flat screen big TV, comfortable bed etc. Clean and nice bathroom. Food - both breakfast and dinner were very tasty. We were there only for one night but we are planning on coming back in spring for more. Spa and jacuzzi were also great and as a young couple we enjoyed them specifically ;)
I know that this hotel is not meeting some formal standard to be four star hotel but for me it has everything I needed. I strongly recommend it.
