I really enjoyed my stay at Palm House, it was quiet and relaxing. The area by the pool and my room were highlights. The property would benefit from a lighter/brighter feel as, in places darker furnishings and decoration detracted from a lovely property. A litle more effort in grilling cooked breakfasts would also be of benefit.

Visited for 6 nights while visiting for 50th birthday, primarily for cricket match at Newlands Stadium, which is close by. We arrived a few hours early due to early flight arrival but the guest house were more than happy to hold our luggage while we explored for a few hours prior to check in, also offering us coffee and the... Literally couldn't write a bad review even if I wanted to. Majestic old house, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, amazing food and very central. Quick fifteen minute drive botanical gardens, surfers beaches, restaurant strips and historical sites. Also offers the best farmhouse breakfast in town. Had an awesome midweek stay!

If on business and appointments are in the CBD area , it is a nightmare to get into town ..count a good hour as from 7.45 am ! I stayed in a cottage and could fault a few things : - Rooms and furniture look oldish . - No aircon . Fans in two out of 3 rooms made a... More

I have lost count of the number of times I have stayed at this wonderful place but think it is close to 10. You may ask why we keep coming back? The answer is quite simple in that firstly the accommodation is out of this world, spacious and comfortable, the facilities, lounge, restaurant, pool and grassed area perfect for our... More

Charming place, value for money. Group of guys watching the cricket and playing golf. Pool house ideal for us, not too luxurious, but main hotel is! Breakfast wonderful, cooked fresh. Staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for couples, but avoid pool house.

We had a final night of our holidays from the uk in one of the two pool house rooms. Service was excellent, with very helpful staff. Pool/ garden were lovely, and though we didn't visit the bar room it looked great. We were prompted to pop out for dinner (with good tip) though they do offer some food if required.... More

The place is clean but the room is getting old, the bathroom was too tiny and we could hardly open the door to get inside as there is the toilet just behind the door, the breakfast was average, egg and sausage are too oily. Poor sleeping as very hot and mosquitoes.

Beautiful suite, very clean and comfortable with everything we could need! The staff are so friendly and efficient and the breakfasts super. The gardens, pool and parking area are perfect....our only suggestion would be to install automatic gates so as not to wait at the gate at night for someone to open them. We will continue to make this our... More

Thank you for your review, we are glad you like Palm House. The Entrance Gates are not electric or self opening as we are very security conscious and we have seen how easy it is for people to slip into a property before automatic gates close. This is why we employ security personnel 24/7 to open and close the entrance... More

Very nice guest house. Nestled in a perfect quiet neighborhood in Wynberg. Easy driving to Cape Town ( 20min). Lots of room options for families. One bedroom, two or three bedroom cottages. Perfect biewing of table mountain and a pretty garden. Very very friendly and sweet staff. Excellent breakfast. A must come back place
