My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Stunning location in the Daintree. Do not come here expecting city 5-star-resort mod cons but the best rainforest experience stay that you get. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being woken to the sounds of birds was just perfect. Best sleep

Hi Thanks for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your time with us. If 5 star is what guests are needing then it is best they don't leave Port Douglas. We would rather have you experience the oldest rain-forest in the world, as closest to its natural glory as possible and leave just a small footprint in the process. The creek is looking very sad at the moment and as much as it is trying the heavens won't open up just yet, but when they do the whole Daintree comes alive, the dust is washed from the trees, the creek will be flowing in all her glory and water will flow from every crevice. A more wondrous site to be seen than the Daintree in the midst of its wet season. 'On the turps" is a double connotation. Firstly represents the fact we are situated on Turpentine Road and secondly an "occarism" for getting together for a drink. Hope we see you again one day in the near future. Cheers Vicki

Not a sound but the rainforest whispers. This lodge was very enjoyable and all the staff so hospitable. Our group enjoyed the happy hour and a delicious dinner overlooking the waterhole.
Our cabin was well serviced, clean and comfortable with a comfy bed.

Hi Thanks for such a wonderful review. As much as we try we can't please everybody but it looks like we hit the mark with your group. We have only this year introduced CU@5 (happy hr) but it is a great time before dinner to catch up with traveling companions or a new face from a far flung country. Just between you and I , I quite enjoy the "Orgasm" served during CU@5. Cointreau and Baileys over Ice yum. The cassowarys are not quite as elusive at the moment, I think they are all "hooking uo". Can't wait to see the Dads and their new chicks when they are ready to show the world. If you are ever up this way again, we would love to see you and my treat for the next cocktail. Cheers Vicki

Our second APT night, so different to the first! Heritage is tucked away in the Cape Tribulation area surrounded by the Daintree Tropical Forest.
The accommodation is basic but satisfactory with comfortable single beds and small but serviceable bathroom.
Dinner was more than I co

Hi Thanks for taking the time in leaving a review and sorry my response was so long coming. We have just come out of a very busy season and are all taking a breath or two and time to do some houskeeping on the computer. We love having the Groups come, everyone is usually in a great frame of mind and by the time you arrive here, friendships have been formed and the stirrers are in full force. Our CU@5 Happy Hour is a great way to unwind before Dinner. I will let the staff know they were appreciated. Here's hoping all your travels are memorable and many. Cheers Vicki

Hi how far away are you from the jungle canopy zip line please
It's about 10km. As I just did, perhaps look at a map or even better, email The Heritage, their staff are excellent.

Hi ! We are considering staying in your lodge next year but my wife is worried about spiders in the room, can you tell me what precautions are in place to prevent this? Thanks John Morrell
I can echo Robert & Karen's remarks. There were no spiders in the hotel, but plenty in the bush.
