Absolutely lovely stay here, could not fault it. The room was lovely, very clean and stocked with tea, coffee and milk and water which was a lovely surprise! The bed was so comfortable, we had the best two nights sleep. The view was lovely, lots of countryside to admire, and the cows came out to say hello! The food was lovely, as a vegetarian there were two options to choose from on the evening menu. I had the veggie burger the first night which was a little dry but the chips were lovely. I had the risotto the second night and it was delicious, and so much of it! Breakfast was gorgeous, very fresh and lots to choose from. Poached eggs were perfect! There were weddings in both nights we stayed so we expected some noise in the night when everyone went to their rooms, but we didn't hear a thing! You would have never have known there was a wedding if you hadn't seen them. Best of all was the service. All staff we encountered were smiley, friendly and so helpful. It really made it for us. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back! Tammy

We stayed for three nights in a very comfortable room on the ground floor overlooking the rear gardens. The Hotel should be credited with the hard work they put in to secure a third night in the same room. The Breakfast menu offered a very good choice as did the Dinner menu. The choice of music played was quite wrong and the volume it was played at, too loud. Music from 'Larkins' and 'Bloxx' etc. hardly fall into the ambient music category and should be reconsidered. Comfortable nights, lovely and quiet, Very helpful and courteous staff made the stay a very enjoyable and pleasant one. Cost was not particularly an issue but we would return if the need ever arose in the future.

We’ve just come back after a 2 nights stay here .. weve been past many of times and said I’d love to try here it looks amazing so we booked. The rooms are nice , we had a room with double doors so we could open them and look out over the grounds round the back .. lovely pond and quiet. Bed was big and comfortable however the pillows were hard. At night I decided to have a soak in the bath however there was no bubble bath. After a uncomfortable sleep - because of the pillows we were looking forward to a decent breakfast. This was the biggest let down for us. I’ve seen a better selection at a premier inn , no fresh tea or coffee .. juice was very limited with bits in! Pastries were sparse , once gone they took ages to refill. I’d expect a lot better with this being a 4-5 star hotel. I have stayed in 3 stars what have been better . Lesson learnt .. all because it looks nice from the outside doesn’t always meet the expectations inside. Work to be guys specially in the restaurant! This was not a cheap stay , however very disappointing.. we won’t be back sorry.

Dear Helen, Thank you for the review. I am sorry to hear your recent experience with us did not meet your expectations of the stay ahead. Its great to hear you liked our Hypnos, memory foam beds and enjoyed the views of the surrounding Peak District. I do wish you would have mentioned your dislike of our pillows and we would have been more than happy to try and offer a more comfortable alternative for you so as not to spoil your nights sleep. We provide several additional complimentary items in our rooms including additional toiletry items such as shampoo, conditioner and toothbrush kits. Bubble bath is not a an addition that we provide within our rooms nor something we advertise that we do so. I am sorry to hear you found our breakfast selection to be limited. The team monitor our selection and its quantities throughout our breakfast service, replenishing items where required. As can be expected with cooked items, there is a small wait time to be expected while these items are prepared. I can assure the team work quickly to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum. We supply tea, coffee and a selection of juices including apple and orange on our breakfast buffet, alongside fresh fruit, yogurts, a selection of cereals and pastries. I am sorry that you found this to be limited. Our orange juice if freshly squeezed and therefore naturally does contain bits. We are sorry to hear you wont be returning to stay at Peak Edge and wish you safe onward travel. Kind regards Lucy - guest services.

This hotel is stunning, so clean and fresh with beautiful décor throughout, All staff were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and felt luxurious. The food and drinks were of a high quality and very enjoyable. This is not a pub serving pub food, it is much more! We stayed for just one night but I will certainly be returning for at least two nights. This hotel is immaculate and everything about it is to a high standard. I would highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant. Our stay was perfect.
