Stayed here overnight and had a meal here with friends. The food was pretty average .....the sweets were very poor and expensive. Service was good, no complaints there. Room was basic......no fridge or safe. The bed although comfortable was far too low.

Took a gamble for myself and a colleague to stay at Peak Edge Hotel after discovering all our usual hotels were full. With a little apprehension (and seemingly no postcode on the booking confirmation which made the journey exciting...) we arrived. Set in some beautiful countryside and a lovely stone barn conversion (or maybe a new build - who cares,... More

We made a late booking so we could go to Chatsworth house. We rang late evening and the receptionist was very helpful and when we arrived a few days later the welcome we have was as good as any 5* hotel we have stayed in. Reception 5* As it was after 16:00 we went into the bar for a drink... More

What a great hotel. We used this hotel for its convenient location to Chesterfield golf club . On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful receptionist, shown to our more than adequate rooms. The rooms are spacious with tea and coffee facilities, a lovely big bathroom with shower and stand alone bath. Nice touches like dressing gowns and bottle... More

We visited Peak Edge recently as part of wedding. The wedding was beautiful and really well organised. The bride, groom and guests all came away with a brilliant day to remember. Service During the wedding was fantastic. All staff were, friendly and helpful. The matradee was excellent keeping a close eye on all of the goings on. The breakfast staff... More

Overall had 3 nights here. 1 upgrade to the Harrogate suit for a night. This is a lovely big room with julliette balcony and views of the pond and beyond. Bed very comfy..bathroom huge..shower is lovely. Door handles could do with tightening up...they are quite loose but overall nothing negative to say about this room. The featured room with Julliette... More

We stayed at the Peak Edge because of the dearth of hotel choices for the Matlock area, and because of the glowing prior reviews. This place was easy to find, had a huge parking lot, and a friendly welcome when we arrived. It was very convenient for Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwick as well as Matlock itself. For some reason... More

This was our second visit to this hotel and this time we went for a feature room rather than a suite and preferred it!! . We stayed in the Lytham suite last time and although it was spacious it was a bit dark. It is also right next to the wedding area and so if there is a wedding going... More

The hotel and staff were very attentive, nothing was to much trouble. When we wanted drinks bringing from the bar into the lounge area of the hotel, they were happy to do so. We stayed in the disabled room which was fantastic, so much room. The only downside was the mirror in the bathroom was to high so my husband... More

Having stayed in a good number of hotels in the UK this one must be the best. Delightful staff, very clean, smart and spacious rooms, great food in the Red Lion next door, a very quiet country location yet only a few miles from Chesterfield. The owner has thought of everything such as a lift to first floor bedrooms, air... More
