Visited on a Tuesday evening and seated in the new extension, and then enjoyed drinks on the terrace. Fantastic food, beautiful setting. All staff were great and attentive but in particular, Manuela, Jamie, Kyla. Highly recommend. Can't wait to visit again.

We stayed at the Peak Edge hotel in early August as a treat for our wedding anniversary. The superior double room was lovely - absolutely huge comfy bed! The room was spotless, as was the whole hotel. We ate at the Red Lion in the evening. The menu was limited for vegetarians; they have a restricted menu due to the current pandemic. I wasn’t keen on either of the options available (my own fussy fault!) However, the staff went above and beyond and adapted a starter for me to make a main which was delicious. Overall, the customer service was faultless. We felt very safe; there’s plenty of hand gel and people adhered to social distancing measures. I would definitely return to the hotel.

We gave the peak edge 4 instead of 5 stars only for a couple of niggly issues which I’ll get out the way first. The beds and bedding we felt were uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep on either of the two evenings. I would have expected better quality mattresses for a hotel of this standard. The air con kept turning off on its own which also led to a stuffy room. That’s about it for the negatives. Everything else was great, the setting and scenery, cleanliness, and the staff was fantastic. The red lion we felt was a great option for breakfast and evening meals, great quality and service was fine, a bit slow on the evenings but is kind of to be expected anywhere during the unprecedented times we are in with Covid-19. I think they are managing this quite well considering the goal posts are moving daily. Overal I think you will struggle to find anything better for the money, and we would recommend the peak edge hotel as a great base for your stay in the peaks.

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and your dining experience in our restaurant. Its great to hear you were satisfied with the level of cleanliness in our hotel and found our staff to be fantastic. I am sorry to hear you found our mattresses to be uncomfortable. We use top quality Hypnos memory foam mattresses in all of our bedrooms and are often commended for there level of comfort. I am sorry to hear this was not the case for yourselves. I am equally sorry to hear about the issues with the air conditioning in your bedroom. I do wish you had of mentioned this to our reception team and we could of rectified this for you. We hope to welcome you back to Peak Edge very soon. Kind regards Cara Spence Resident manager

This was my first ever solo trip and I am so glad I chose Peak Edge Hotel, I had searched hundreds of hotels to try and get exactly what I was looking for and when I clicked on this one it had a such great feel to it and it did not disappoint!! I cannot speak highly enough of all the members of staff who were so welcoming, so friendly and put me so at ease, I realised the first morning I woke up that I had forgotten my hairbrush and I mentioned it in passing to one of the ladies on reception and she said "don't worry I'll get one bought in for you" and later that afternoon I went back to my room to find a hairbrush, I was genuinely touched that had been sorted out for me. Nothing was to much trouble for anyone and they were so professional but so friendly and genuinely interested in talking to people to find out how they were getting on, often young members of staff get a reputation for being rude or sloppy but this far from the case here and the young memebers of staff in the restaurant and bar are a credit to you. The hotel is stunning, exceptionally clean everywhere you look and beautifully decorated throughout. I stayed in the Haddon Suite as I wanted to really treat myself after a tough couple of years and WOW, it was stunning!! The food was also amazing, I tried lots of different things and it was all so delicious. I'm the person who always says they'll leave a review then gets distracted or forgets but I only checked out today and I really want to share what a special place this is and that I will be recommending it to everyone I know. I will also 100% be coming back!!!
