Great hotel, very central so east to get into the centre of town. Very nice breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon etc. Reception area was nice, with a good bar. Room was fine and clean, shower was very good.

It said in the elevator, which some of our party did not dare to take, that the hotel was going through some refurbishments dated early 2018. That could not have been the rooms though. Worst room i have been in for a while. On a plaque outside it said it was part of the official accomodation in the 1994 olympics, I do think that was the last time they did something there. You can`t live on that forever. We didn`t pack swimsuits, but we checked out the spa-part, and we were glad we didn`t pack them. If we`re going there again we will find somewhere else to stay I hope. Btw: hard bed and the pillow had seen better days (a lot of better days!)

Went to this hotel With my wife and my son despite of a number of bad reviews here at Tripadvisor. We had a smooth check in and we had one of the newly refurbished rooms and that worked out well for the three of us. The breakfast buffet was nice and I did in particular like the scrambled eggs that was very good. We also enjoyed the Spa facilities. The water in the swimming pool could have been slightly warmer but overall alslo very nice. Both my wife and I enjoyed a good thai massage there, and it was reasonable priced compared to more posh Spa hotels. Overall a good hotel experience

I am in Kongsvinger for a conference and the hotel is ideally suited. Situated high on a hill over looking the town, its quaint with traditions. Full Norwegian breakfast, good facilities and BBC for us English-language guests. A good place to saty to explore the region

Room , Laminate flooring that moved , walls not been painted since the 70s . Shall I look at the mattress no best not .... Hotel set in the 70s needs lots of money spending on it . Food . Breakfast don’t bother . Dinner don’t know ,restaurant closed, bar closed Staff . Don’t think they know how to smile bloody miserable , enough said . Shame because with some love and attention this building could rise to be a grand hotel once more, obviously with new staff If your got low and I mean very low standards this hotel is for you , if you like quality and professionalism this hotel most definitely isn’t for you .
