Welcome to Lyso Camping and Waterfront cabins! - 10 cabins and waterfront flats in a range of sizes, totalling 60 beds - Fully equipped - High standard - Boats for hire, deep-freeze and bedclothes History: The island Lyso is located west of Kristiansund N, and belongs to the municipality of Averoy. Lyso has a historical background, as it has been inhabited for hundreds of years. The present owner is the 4th generation of the family which has lived here since 1860. Although situated close to the rough waters of Hustadvika, the island has an excellent harbour. On Lyso there has been fishing, a fish processing factory, a grocery store, forworking of goods and a post office. The former store building, thequayand some other buildings, fishing boats and equipment are still intact and in use. How to get to Lyso? You can get to Lyso by car, bus, the coastal steamer or plane to Molde orKristiansund N. From Kristiansund N: Drive through the Atlantic Tunnel to Averoy and proceed by bus/car on road RV-64 to Hoset. Follow the signs first to Henda, then Storsandoya and at last to Lyso. From Molde: By car/bus on road RV-64 via Eide, or RV-663 through Elnesvagen/Farstad, and across the Atlantic Ocean Road(Atlanterhavsveien) to Hoset, further: see above.
