Although the welcome was poor from one girl behind bar our first night, we soon warmed to service of all other staff. The rorbuer were very comfortable, even if ours was a little smelly at first..... Lovely view from rorbuer over waterfront with distant view of high peak, especially from upstairs longe area. Parking easy. Breakfast had a little less... More

So many ideal locations and picture-perfect rorbuers all over the Lofoten islands so it is hard to say one is better than another. But we saw many and we're still thrilled with our choice of Nyvagar. It is situated at the mouth of a quiet fjord with majestic peak rising up outside the cabins. Sunsets over the peaks and a... More

Unfortunately my sister, my nephew and I were only able to spend one night at this delightful hotel. The location was quiet and picturesque. An aquarium, art gallery and local history museum are within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was substantial and featured fresh and local food. Our room was spacious, bright and clean. Despite having a big wedding party... More

Just 15 mins from Svolvaer airport and just off the main highway (very easy to find). Cabins are well-designed, comfortable, and clean. Staff at reception are friendly and helpful. Very quiet, even though it's right next to a museum and gallery. Breakfast was good. Dinner was fine (nothing to write home about, so we ate in Svolvaer, which had more... More

If you head up north to visit the stunning archipelago of Lofoten Islands, this is place worth of stop and stay. Simple but friendly Scandinavian accommodation in old fishery houses in the neighborhood of Lofoten Aquqrium and Museum, fully recommended. Good restaurant for dinner with "norwegian pricing".

Nice and cute red wooden cottages on the sea side, beautiful landscape, peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, delicous breakfast, close to Svolvær, capital of the Lofoten Islands, 3 minutes to the Lofoten Aquarium.

We stayed one night in a rorbur apartment. The location is great, the apartment was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. We rented bicycles, they worked reasonably well. The feature of this hotel for us, however, was the wooden platform with stairs to directly enter the water in the fjord for a short swim. No... More

You find "rorbuer" all over Lofoten. Why should you pick Nyvaagar. Well. It is pricy, but then a gain, it has high standard. It is surrounded by steep mountains and open waters. You can get your hot sauna and jump directly out in the cold sea. A great starting point for your Lofoten experience!
