While this place is easy to find (just follow 821 to the end of the line), it is truly at the end of the road. The entire area is simply stunning. The hotel is old on the outside but has a lot of updates on the inside that make it work perfectly. We originally were to stay in the apartments...

We only drank a coffee in this little restaurant. Nyksund in general is a very charming place. This hotel even tops it. The interior looks like a fisher's home a hundred years ago and you feel like stepping in a long past world. We did not eat there but the meals looked quite exciting. Especially because the cooks try to...

Don't expect a Marriott or Hilton hotel. We were utterly surprised when the road ended and a quaint little village lay in front of us. A couple of years ago a ghost town, now artists and enthusiastic lovers of this historic fishermans town live and work here. The owners are the most welcoming couple, their stories interesting and entertaining. The...

spent one night there in late summer. the location is awesome indeed – reconstructed fishing village at the very end of a dirt-gravel-road: if you´re looking for sth. really remote and quiet: perfect. but better pack some kronors then: lodging options in this tiny hamlet know what they can take for the view … holmvik brygge must once have been a...

It felt a little like a ghost village, but maybe part of the charm came from this feeling. Incredible view of the fjord. We had dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Only problem was parking, not much space

Jasmin and Ssemjon could not have been better hosts, offering very individual service - your firstname on the bedroom door. Lots of smiles and lots&lots of good advises - also...

We found out about Holmvik Brygge from a very conscientious woman at the Sortland tourist information office. We asked for a suggestion for an interesting place to stay on the water and her eyes lit up. She called and booked us a room for the night. And what a find it was! Our first impression was confusion -- After a...

This is a fantastic place to stay if you want something a bit more off-beat and with a lot more character. Nyksund is a very special place with access to great views, some excellent walks and good sea trips. Holmvik Brygge can be very busy but it is also marvellous when you get this very unusual and historic building to...

Nyksund, as others have said, is at the end of the road! It is down a gravel road and until the early 90s had been largely abandoned. It now has an edge of the world feel to it with a three hotels and a thriving summer arts scene. Much of this is down to the good people at Holmvik Brygge...
