Cong Fu Hotel blows away the competition in Bac Ha. After having our pre-booked reservation rejected (twice!!) by Ngan Nga Hotel we stayed at a far below average hotel that got us through the bustling Saturday night that is Bac Ha. For Sunday night, we were in search of a sanctuary to get clean and rest. We found this oasis... More

We booked for two nights but liked the quiet post market feel of the town so stayed an extra night. It's not a flash place but what do you expect in rural north Vietnam. It does the basics well. Top tip for the market: don't stick an expensive camera in the face of a poor market vendor. If you do... More

We booked for two nights but stayed for three. Staff are friendly and obliging. Most speak excellent English and will find someone who does if they don't. They kept our passports but that is standard practice in many hotels in Vietnam. If you want them back for some reason before you leave, it's no problem. The rooms are very clean... More

On arrival they tried to keep our passports with them which we refused and asked them to take a copy instead. (they were the only hotel in Vietnam that tried this stunt). We had the room on the 3rd floor and they gave us the city view instead of mountain view that we had booked. There is a little mountain... More

We came to Bac ha for one night and stayed three as we really enjoyed 😊 The hotel is located in the center, the rooms have air-condition and hot water (as long as you remember to turn on the switch in the entrance to the bathroom 😉). There is no elevator but they help in carrying the languages. Ask for... More

This may be one of the only options but if you can, go somewhere else. If it's only for one night I guess it is ok. The staff is surly, and non caring. The breakfast is manageable but not great..Nescafé bread omelette. The room is basic, clean, the towels thin, the shower hard to regulate. The windows filthy. We had... More

Not to bad for a nite stay. Rooms basic. Hot shower good and room heating acceptable. We had rooms to the back with beautiful view of the city and the lake. We had the hotpot dinner at the hotel and it was delicious. Staff helpful. Location is good. Just a walking distance to the free cultural show from local tribes... More

This seems to be one of the main tourist hotels in Bac Ha and was busy at the weekend because of the Sunday market. We had a perfectly decent room at the front of the hotel which caught the afternoon sun and we were not troubled by traffic noise at all. However the facilities were let down by a poor... More

We only stayed 1 night at this hotel. Location was very strategic for Bac Ha Sunday market, only 5 minutes walk. Great view from the window as you could see the minorities heading to the Sunday market with water buffalo, horses, etc. Simple choices of breakfast to choose from menu. Not to expect much as we were there for Bac... More
