We needed an over night stay en-route from the South of France to Calais and this beautiful place was perfect for us. We booked a quadruple room and were not disappointed. The room was lovely and clean, beds were very comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful even though he claimed he knew little English he knew more than I know of Speaking French! The location was lovely and peaceful and I would recommend to any friends or family looking for accommodation in this area
Stayed one night for visit to fontainbleu. Very close and convenient. Rooms large, clean and comfortable. Very quiet and need car. Breakfast good and fresh produce. Allowed early check in. Room was very hot overnight and if you open door got massive honey bees in. Only downside
On our way back home from our holiday in the south of France we booked a room in this converted farmhouse on internet. When we arrived we parked our car outside of the gate and a small boy walked towards us with a gun in his hand. He was on his way to shoot pigeons from the roof with what turned out to be an airgun! Later on we saw him walking around with some dead pigeons... Is that rural enough for you?! On one of the doors inside the farmhouse the owner put up a leaflet with a whole story that this is a rural environment, so if you want a posh hotel, go to the city. We had no trouble with this. Just to let you know what you can expect. The room we had was really big and clean. We had diner in Melun (La Bulle Gourmande 2). We slept great and had a decent breakfast. Then the owner wanted us to pay a small amount that he thought we owed him, but we payed eveything already through internet, and when he checked he forgot that the internet booking site takes a percentage...…
Lovely restored working farm. Large comfortable spotlessly clean rooms.Very good value for money if you are in that part of the world (Fontainebleau/Vaux-le-Vicomte area). I would definitely go back there. If you were to wish to prepare your own food, there is an equipped kitchen available.
We stayed here one night because it was in a convenient location to stay after visiting Chateau Fontainebleau and Barbizon. The rural atmosphere was attractive after several days in Paris and indeed the large charming farmhouse and the peaceful surroundings are lovely. But.....when we arrived we were brought to other rooms than we had booked! It appeared the owners had sent us an email on that same day about a change in rooms. We had not seen this last minute mail and were not happy with the change. We had booked two rooms, each with it's own private bathroom, one for us as a couple and one for my sister who was travelling alone. Apparently the owners had the chance to rent our rooms to other guests and they placed us in a so called family room. This meant we did have two separate rooms but had to share the bathroom and toilet. They probably assumed we would not mind this as we were travelling together. They did adjust the price, but this was not what we had asked for. We thought they should not have changed our booking without our consent!…
Beautiful little B&B which we used as a base to visit Provins, Fontainebleau, Vaux le Vicomte and Versailles. Quite and secluded and a nice change to staying in a town or city. Breakfast was the usual French type and our host was informative and helpful
We stayed in this B&B for two nights and were very pleasntly received in this georgeous "ferme". The guest rooms are in an old barn which is magnigicantly renovated.Given the proximity of Barbizon and Fontainebleau (the forest, the chateau) this is an ideal place to spend a few nights. Breakfast is also very good.
The accomodation itself is really nice and we liked the kind of an accomodation. It´s an old farmhouse rebuilt as a guesthouse. They have a couple of rooms there, all of them are different and you can choose your room with the booking. Everything was clean, the rooms are very big and really nice interior. The beds are good to sleep in and the bathroom was good as well. The WIFI worked good in the rooms. There are possiblitliys to sit outside and have something to eat. The breakfast was pretty good as well - also ham, salami, cheese - which is not always sure in France. Parking is possible in front of the courtyard. There would be enough space to park directly at the entrance of the rooms, but you´re not allowed to. The first thing when we came the owner told us to remove the car. We just wanted to have something to eat but we had to repark the car... which was really useless in my opinion. Also the other guests said the same to us... We just wanted to stay for half an hour there, anyway... it was not ok and we didn´t find this that friendly.... as well the owner seems to be quite arrogant, not really friendly - the staff in the kitchen was very nice at all... but he... not really, no. That´s the reason why I took of the points here!! Be careful - there is nothing around, so you need a CAR!!!!…
If your dream is to sleep in a old farm building then go there, if NOT there are better and more center places around. The FRENCH OWNER was arrogant and after finally saw he made a mistake with the dates of the reservation, blame us for that ! He found a room for us, but we need to check-out at 8 am... BUT : the place is nice renovated, with few rooms and even a BIG apartment with 3 bed rooms.
One of the loveliest places I have stayed. We had a two bedrooms. Both of really good size and very clean. Separate shower room with a modern feel. Separate toilet. Quaint features were the glass windows up to the roof beams of the original barn. Fantastically quiet location. Didn't hear a thing despite being very close to a shopping centre with a great Carrefour. Breakfast was included and was very well presented. Croissants, brioche, baguette, jams, fruit, cereals, coffee, teas, juice are waiting for your from 0800. Fairly easy to find too even though it's off the beaten track. Would highly recommend to stay here. We will be going back.
