We chose this for our 25th anniversary over other options, and we certainly made the right choice. First, from the owners to the staff, they make you feel as though you are the only one there. This place is staffed by folks who live there, many for years, and truly care about TB and the people who visit. We glamped in #18, designed more like a suite as opposed to yurt - deck, gas fire pit, fireplace, refrigerator/freezer, Nespresso (real half and half), walk-in shower and bathroom, sitting area, and views... views... Dining was a wonderful experience as well, both sushi and lodge. Both are fixed menus for the week (or so), with several courses, and are listed on the website. One caveat is the menu may be not to your liking, so booking back to back experiences might not be wise unless you have seen the menu. Food was prepared wonderfully and was innovative - vegetarian, gluten-free options available. A word about WildCoast sushi - it was unlike anything you have more than likely experienced. No spoilers here, but you will enjoy the dining experience for about 90 minutes, and yes, you will explore! The weather was typical Big Sur - warm (not hot), breezy, and of course foggy, with a chill in the evening. The usual warning... be prepared to dress in layers. The walks from the yurts/campsites will warm you up walking to the lodge. Finally, this is a place to relax. It's quiet, introspective, but within an hour of things to do if you wish. Take advantage of any TB events - we harvested honey with Caleb the beekeeper and John the owner, and bottled fresh honey for home. Yoga in the morning, incredible massages... reading by the pool.... An amazing place, and we will be back.…
